35: Difficult

Her eyes slowly opened and the sound of a beeping machine was heard in the quiet room. She looked around trying to figure out where she was, until she figured out she was in the hospital. 

'What- What happened to me?' she thought as she tried to sit up. 

However, it wasn't as easy as she thought as both of her arms felt restrained for some odd reason. 

"Huh? How did-" 

"Good morning, Miss Midoriya." Izumi looked up to see the same doctor from the last time she was at the hospital; Phoenix Koro.

"Ah- g-good morning..." 

"I hope I didn't wake you, but you have been asleep for quite a while. Inhaling Opium Poppies can be dangerous since they carry a strong scent that can cause you to fall asleep for hours." Phoenix said. 

"How... How long have I been out?" 

"A couple days." 

"A- A COUPLE DAYS!?!?!" 

"Calm down, Miss Midoriya. It wouldn't be wise to strain your body since both of your arms are broken." Izumi looked down and both of her arms were in casts. 

"I-I broke both of my arms?" 

"Yes, when you were brought here, I was surprised to see that both of your arms were badly swollen and purple. It meant that you broke your arms, but it also meant I had to do surgery on your arms. Luckily everything in the surgery went well, but you will have some scars." Phoenix said.

'How did this happen? I can't remember anything... except-' 

"That guy! Muscular, I mean, where is he?" Izumi asked. 

"He's been detained." 

Izumi and Phoenix turned to see Chevy and Anastasia entering the hospital room. 

"Chief..." 

"You couldn't wait a few more minutes until I said you could come in, like I said you were to?" Phoenix said with a smirk. 

"Tch- I had no choice, after hearing that Midoriya woke up, this is needed." Chevy said. 

"Hah- fine, since I've already examined the patient, you two can talk to her. Do let me or my assistant know if you are feeling uncomfortable at any point, Miss Midoriya." Phoenix said sweetly as he left the room.

There was an awkward silence in the room once the doctor left, that is until Anastasia coughed to clear the awkward atmosphere. 

"Muscular has been detained and his spirit soul was extracted." Izumi looked up at Anastasia who seemed pretty serious. 

"He was?" 

"Yes, but that's not the only member we detained that night." Anastasia said. 

"There... there was another member, who?" 

"Mange." Izumi froze. 

'Mange was there? But where, and when?' Izumi thought. 

"Muscular was found at Hotel Lily, but Mange was found at the Kinkaku-ji Temple; just walking distance from the Hotel." Anastasia said.

'So there were 2 members of the League that appeared- wait- didn't Aster say that there were two locations that could be from the riddle? So then...'
