26: Shivers

Chevy, Anastasia, and Aster remained silent as Izumi went to check and see if her dog; AKA Katsuki, was okay after the random explosion in the interrogation room. The three of them stood in Chevy's office while Izumi was comforting the dog, and it seemed these two cops were questioning Aster's motives. 

"How did things turn out like this in the first place?" 

"Well, maybe if you guys would've noticed just by how Muscular was acting, it would've rung a bell that it was a fake." Aster said. 

"Erm- what're you doing here? Did Lily ask you to come here?" 

"Nope, Izumi did. I'm close friends with Izumi, and because she and I are both humans and can see spirits, we understand each other. And just because I know about the Special Case doesn't mean I know everything about it like Lily does. So don't even try and ask me about that." Aster said.

"We have more important things to think about, especially with this riddle." Chevy said. 

"Right, it could take us weeks to figure out this location, but of course they'd only give us 2 days." Anastasia said. 

"I'm sure some of our detectives won't be able to figure this out in this short span of time." Chevy said. 

'These two are seriously questioning this riddle? I figured it out right away already. The only problem is that the location can be of one of two places, but the good thing is that both of these locations have a Grim Reaper in the area. Should I tell 'em?' Aster thought.

The office door opened and they all turned their heads to see Izumi walking in with the large dog in her arms. 

"Izumi-" 

"Is Katsuki okay?" 

"Mn. He's fine, but I don't want him to walk since I'm not sure if his paws are hurt. He's been working a lot for the past few days, and after that explosion, I think he's gonna need some rest." 

'Finally, I'm fucking tired of working for these guys.' Katsuki thought. 

"Did you guys figure out the riddle?" Izumi asked. 

"Hardly, we've barely even scratched the surface of that riddle." 

"That's not important, as for you, Midoriya, you need to go home and get some rest like I instructed you to do. Do I need someone to escort you home?" Chevy said in a serious tone. 

"S-Sir, that won't be-" 

"I'll take Izumi home." Aster said.

"Aster-" 

"There's no reason I need to stay here when I'll just get in the way, so I'll take Izumi home." Aster said and turned to look at the greenette and grabbed the large dog out of her arms. 

"Ah- are you sure you want to carry Kacchan?" 

"He's not that heavy, I've dealt with much heavier things." Aster said and turned back to the Chief and Captain. 

"We'll be leaving, hope you guys can figure out the riddle." Aster said and took the lead as he and Izumi left the Police Station.

Izumi and Aster, who was still carrying Katsuki as a dog, were walking back to Izumi's place and Izumi looked worried. 

"What're you worried about this time?" Aster asked. 

"I just hope that the League isn't doing something as bad as they did before I took down Mustard and Moonfish. Erm- if only I knew what the riddle meant then it wouldn't be this hard either!" Izumi yelled.
