My Pawfect Rebirth

10: Higher Ups

( Note: Sorry, but this entire chapter is going to surround my own characters, it will make sense eventually, sorry again! )

Chevy and Anastasia, along with Midori and Annabelle, arrived at the large building, knowing that this was going to be something important. 

"I don't understand why we're having the meeting here of all places." Anastasia said, looking at the large building. 

"Mamoru has been a Grim Reaper the longest, it would only make sense we have the meeting held at his company. It's not like any of the other Reapers have a better meeting place." Chevy said. 

"Tch- you're right about that." Anastasia said.

They entered the large building to see a woman standing there, and because there weren't humans in sight, she appeared to have a pair of large Mouse ears on her head, and a furless tail. 

This is Nezumi Prim, as she is known to be a Mouse Spirit and serves as the assistant to Grim Reaper, Mamoru Sever. 

"Hello Nezumi." Chevy said. 

"Good evening, to you as well, Reaper Niurus, and to you as well, Reaper Truci." the woman greeted, bowing to them. 

"So, are all the others here?" Anastasia asked. 

"Yes, and they are waiting for you, ma'am." Nezumi said. 

"Then let's get this over with, we still need to find the thief that escaped earlier." Chevy said.

Nezumi nodded and escorted the Reapers and their assistants to the elevator. 

While they were waiting inside the elevator, Midori, Anastasia's assistant, had his form change slightly for him to have tusks coming out of his mouth. While Annabelle, Chevy's assistant, had her form also change as she had horns growing out from both sides of her head. Midori Dianthus is known to be a Boar Spirit, while Annabelle Hydrangea is known to be a Goat Spirit.

The elevator came to a stop and Chevy and Anastasia walked out knowing exactly where they needed to be, as the three spirits walked close behind. Once they reached a large pair of doors, there was a sight of two other spirits that opened the doors for the two Grim Reapers. 

As soon as the doors were opened, the sight of 9 other people sitting in chairs, along with people standing behind those chairs were seen. 9 more Grim Reapers and 9 more assistants. 

Chevy and Anastasia walked into the room and walked to their designated seats and soon sat down.

"Took you two long enough." a deep voice said. 

Chevy turned his head to look at the man sitting next to him. 

"Sorry, we were dealing with some business that we almost lost track of time since this meeting was unexpected." Chevy said. 

"It doesn't hurt to try and get here sooner at least." the man said. 

"Tch- geez, Mamo, give us some credit, at least we're here!" Anastasia said. 

This man is Mamoru Sever, as he has Midnight Blue hair and Purple, almost Black, eyes. This man is otherwise known as the eldest Grim Reaper overall and has been doing this job centuries more than Chevy, who happens to be the second eldest Grim Reaper.

"Yes, and it seems everyone's here now." 

"Almost everyone, sir." Nezumi said.
