Katsuki was pacing back and forth in front of the greenette's apartment complex, hands shaking in his pockets and his heartbeat going faster as the minutes went by.
After not seeing the greenette that entire weekend, he was wanting–yearning–to see her even if things had changed in this life. But after remembering what Aster told him, it couldn't all be so bad.
"Then maybe she really does remember her past life and everything with the League. There is a chance that Emra might've–like how Takashi–told you that nobody will recognize her and that she shouldn't act like people will remember her in her past life. Takashi probably had to relay the message to you because Emra was relaying the message to Izumi at the same time."
'There could be a chance Deku remembers me, but I can't just ask her straight away. It's too soon to just guesstimate this stuff. But if Deku really does remember our past... how should I react? Should I be happy? Should I act like nothing happened? Arg- how did things get so fucking confusing?!?!' he thought, rustling his hair in distress.
"Kacchan?"
The blond heard his name called and recognized the voice right away and coughed to get these thoughts out of his head.
"Ah- y-yeah, it's-"
As he turned around to face the greenette, he stopped talking and felt his heart skip a beat just looking at the greenette. What he didn't expect was to see that greenette look so... cute, and to make it better; she got a haircut. Her hair wasn't flowing down to her hips anymore, as it only went slightly past her shoulders and it didn't look as fluffy like it used to.
Though it was a surprise for the blond to see the greenette's appearance slightly change, it somehow made her look more mature and... enchanting to look at.
"D-Deku..."
"Hmph, good morning, Kacchan. I didn't think you'd be waiting in front of my place again, did you wait long?" Izumi asked happily.
"I- n-no no, I didn't. I just... your hair..." he noted. Izumi looked up at the blond and then looked back down at her hair and grabbed a clump of her hair and played with it.
"Oh yeah, my cousin came to visit me and suggested I should get a haircut. So she helped me with getting a haircut, and I ended up getting a headache afterwards since I didn't realize how heavy my hair used to be until I got it cut. I'm still not used to the length, I might just wait and let it grow out until the next time I get it cut."
"No!" Izumi looked up at him.
"Hm?"
"I-I... It... It suits you better..." he mumbled as he scratched the back of his neck and averted his gaze from her.
Just seeing his cheeks grow with a flush hue to them made the greenette feel like her heart skipped a beat.
"O-Oh, t-then I guess I'll keep it short, you remember when my hair used to be really short when we were kids, don't you Kacchan?" she asked.
"Y-Yeah..." he mumbled.
'Of course I remember, that was back when you were still a guy, Deku.' he thought.
"Should we get going? I don't think we should take long to get to work this time like we did on Friday." Izumi stated. Katsuki groaned just from thinking of what happened days prior when the two of them were handcuffed together.
"Yeah..." he muttered.
"Well, it looks like you two didn't get cuffed together again, no bypasses this time?" Anastasia teased.
