28: Conflicted

"Which means you must be close friends with Aster, correct?" Izumi froze. 

"Ah- I-I do." 

"Hmph, no need to get so worried. I know of him as well, he's a good friend." 

"Ah- right..." 

"Here we are, your room." Neko said, standing in front of a door and opening it for the greenette to enter. Just entering this bedroom gave the greenette warm and welcoming vibes, the aura wasn't uncomfortable or strange, it was homely and peaceful. 

"Wow..." 

"My Master would like to speak to you in the morning, so please get a good rest, honored guest." Neko said. 

"Oh, alright." 

"Ah- yes. Since you are an honored guest, I would like to give you these." Neko said, handing the greenette a bouquet of flowers.

"Flowers?" 

"These are Poppy's, they give a pleasant smell and will help you sleep in peace. This is my welcoming gift, as I sense you are a caring human." Neko said. 

"Ah- right... any chance you're a spirit?" 

"Yes ma'am, I am a cat spirit." Neko said. 

"Ah- that makes sense because of your name." Izumi said. 

"I must go ma'am, but please get some rest and sleep well." Neko said, as she bowed to the greenette and closed the room behind her. 

Izumi looked down at the bouquet of flowers in her hands and was surprised. 

'I never would've expected them to be this nice to me, and I hope it's not because I work for Chevy.' Izumi thought. She set the bouquet of Poppy's by her nightstand, changed her clothes and went straight to sleep. 

But what she didn't expect was that the scent of the Poppy's were more potent in smell than anticipated.

"Hah- here we are, Kyoto Japan. Haven't been here in over a year and a half." Aster said. 

Katsuki had to try and catch his breath after basically getting sucked into a whirlpool that felt like a rollercoaster. 

'Stupid rabbit hole.' he thought. 

"Oh yeah, since Izumi isn't with us... Shift." Aster said and snapped his fingers. Katsuki stood up straight and stretched his back and rubbed his hair. 

"Since Izumi isn't here, you don't have to worry about her seeing you." Aster said. 

"I thought you said both locations were within walking distance?" 

"They are. Izumi's going to that place." Aster said, pointing up to a hill to see a large and tall building. 

"So where're we going?" 

"We're going this way. Follow me." Aster said and went the opposite direction of the hill.

Katsuki looked around the area as they were walking and could see a lot of spirits walking past them. 

"These are spirits?" 

"Mn. Not a lot of humans walk around these streets at this hour. It's specifically because of the people that stay at the place we're going to try to basically repent humans from getting harmed by spirits. And though it's hardly ever possible for bad spirits to be in this area, they still have to practically bless this area for it to be safe for the spirits at night and the humans during the day." Aster said.
