115: Follow

"Yo!" Both the greenette and blond slowly looked up to see both Takashi and Duncan standing over them. 

"Ah- Takashi... and Duncan again..." 

"What's this, did you two go for a little late night swim?" Duncan asked.

"Uhh-" 

"I don't think they'd just go for a late night swim in the river with their clothes on, Duncan, especially now when it's still practically winter." Takashi said. 

"Oh yeah, I forget it's still winter since I'm used to the cold." Duncan said. 

"Anyway, what happened to you two? And Izuku, I thought you said you were just getting some fresh air, not a fresh swim." Takashi said. 

"I-I-" 

"Deku fell in the river. I just happened to be looking for her when it happened so I pulled her out before she drowned." Katsuki said. 

"What? You fell in the river, you okay?" Duncan asked. 

"I-I'm fine. Just a little cold, that's all." Izumi mumbled.

Takashi thought about what they just said, but for some reason he didn't believe what they were saying. 

"Are you sure you just 'fell' in the river? You were nowhere near the river when me and Duncan saw you earlier." Takashi said. 

"I-I was- What was I doing?" Izumi said, trying to think of what happened before she fell into the river. That's when she remembered how she was standing on the roof of her old Junior high school and saw Kurogiri in the distance and tried to follow and catch him.

"Ah- Kurogiri! And the League! I tried to, but I couldn't- and-" 

"Uhh- what's that supposed to mean?" Duncan remarked, looking at Takashi. 

"Izuku, what happened?" Takashi asked. 

"I was trying- but I lost him because I was careless and- but I can't lose him again or-" 

"IZUKU!!!" Katsuki yelled, as he clutched her arms tightly. 

She looked up at the blond and felt comforted by staring into his Ruby Red eyes. 

"Kacchan..." 

"What you're trying to say right now isn't making any sense, and we gotta know what happened before you fell into the river! Just calm down and try to think before you end up passing out again." Katsuki said, trying to assure her.

Just staring into his eyes, she could feel his warmth and she didn't feel like she was in a rush anymore. 

"I-I saw Kurogiri when I was on the roof of our old school, Kacchan. I saw him at a distance and started to go into pursuit after him, so I tried to use my powers to chase after him. But because I was careless about trying to capture him while going through his whirlpools, I ended up following him when he created a whirlpool that directly dropped me into the river. I didn't expect you to save me Kacchan, but I'm glad you did before I ended up drowning." Izumi said.

"So you were following a member of the League, but because he changed his whirlpool's exit, you ended up losing him and fell into the river. Not the first time we've heard someone get transported into a death trap before." Takashi muttered. 

"But we need to find him, who knows what the League is trying to hide from us this time!" Izumi said, trying to stand up. 

"Woah woah woah- hold it, Izuku. Are you really wanting to try and find a member of the League when it's almost midnight and you're soaking wet and could catch hypothermia. I'm still a doctor and I sure as heck don't want you to push yourself till you collapse." Takashi said.
