42: Confusion

'Kacchan, we did get him back, thank goodness. I'm sure he's really tired after all that running we did.' she thought as she reached her hand and was about to pet the dog's fur until-

"Good afternoon, Miss Midoriya!" The curtain pulled to reveal Phoenix and Izumi jumped. 

"Ack! D-Doctor Koro!" she yelled. 

"Oh goodness, I hope I didn't scare you, I just wanted to make sure you were awake." Phoenix said. 

"I-I see, I just woke up..." 

"Oh good, I figured you'd wake up soon." Phoenix said. 

Izumi looked over to see Katsuki had lifted his head and was staring at her. 

'Well at least Kacchan's moving. Wait- this isn't a hospital room.' she thought. 

"This place is different from a hospital room." Izumi said. 

"That is correct, there was no need for you to have your own hospital room since you were just dehydrated and needed an IV." Phoenix said.

"And... is Kacchan okay?" Izumi asked. 

"Hm? You mean your dog? He's clean and healthy." Phoenix said. Izumi exhaled a sigh of relief. 

"Thank goodness." Izumi said. 

"So is she able to go, Phoenix?" Izumi looked up to see Aster walking up to them. 

"Aster-" 

"Yes, Aster, she's hydrated again and since there's no harm done on her body she's fine to leave." Phoenix said. 

"You heard that? C'mon, let's get some fresh air." Aster said.

"Ah- right. C'mon Kacchan, let's go." Izumi said. 

'Why can't I just sleep on a comfortable bed for a few more minutes? Is that so hard to fucking ask?' Katsuki thought as he watched Aster and the greenette start to leave.

"Hmph, you take good care of her." Katsuki looked up at Phoenix who only smirked at him. 

"She seems like quite the handful, so make sure you're keeping her safe." Phoenix said. 

Katsuki felt his face get warm and he quickly picked up the pace and ran after the greenette. 

'It seems now that the Emerald Dragon knows, she's asking all of us to keep an eye on those two. Strange to think she's fine with the Special Case now that we know more about the situation. I will only help when need be.'

"It's a relief you didn't damage your body when we were in the Spirit Realm, I'm sure Emra would've killed me if she found out if you got hurt." Aster said. 

"Right... How long have I been out?" 

"Since yesterday, you were just tired, that's all." Aster stated. 

"I see... it's a relief that Kacchan didn't get hurt or experimented on by the League." Izumi said. 

"Mn. Then we would've been in a worse situation. That doesn't mean things have completely cleared up though." 

"Hm? What d'you mean?" 

"I mean, Chevy and Anastasia are still trying to figure out who's responsible for Mange's death." Aster said, Katsuki froze.

'Wait- the villain we captured... died?!?! What the hell did I miss in the short span of time?!?!' Katsuki thought. 

"That's true... Erm- and I have a feeling Chevy's gonna yell at me again for disobeying orders again..." Izumi said with a face palm.
