"Of course my son knew, but... he wasn't angry about it."

Izumi's eyes widened.

"Wha-... What?"

"I remember the day my son actually decided he didn't want to go to U.A.. That day he told me, I noticed something might've happened to him at school because he wasn't acting like his usual self. As soon as he came home, he told me right away that he wasn't going to take the entrance exam to get into U.A.. He said something strange instead, which surprised me since I didn't think my son would say."

"What did he say?" Izumi asked.

"Well, he said he knew you wanted to and were going to take the entrance exam to U.A., so he said he'd choose a different school. He claimed that he wasn't good enough or something." Mitsuki answered.

Those words echoed in Izumi's thoughts as she remembered right after Katsuki stopped her from jumping off the room and taking her home.

"Arg- You can go to U.A. if you want to, you don't need someone like me to stop you!!!" "What I said before was stupid, so why the hell should I stop you? You clearly got more guts than I thought, and... I might not be capable of being the best when you're so far from me." 'He told me the same thing again on the first day me and him became partners for the Police too.' Izumi thought. "I just... As much as I wanted to go, I realized I wasn't good enough to go there." "No matter how much I tried, I always tried to compare myself to you when we were kids. But no matter how much I kept trying, it felt like you were always one step ahead of me, and I hated it. I looked down on you because I thought you were never going to change, but I was wrong. And I knew what I said that day was wrong too."

"I asked him if something happened to make him change his mind about not wanting to go to U.A., but he was certain he wasn't going to go. I still wonder what happened that day to make him act so strange." Mitsuki said.

'That day... was the day Kacchan stopped me from jumping off the roof, if only it were so easy to just say it, but I can't. There aren't a lot of other people that know about that day–at least–not in this life.' Izumi thought.

"Oh geez- I hope I didn't kill the mood, I'm still proud of my son since he's able to work with you at the same Police Station, Izumi." Mitsuki said happily.

"Ah- yeah, I am too."

'As much as I want to tell them about that day, I know they'll only be worried about me.' Izumi thought.

The following morning arrived and the blond woke up from a pounding headache that just wouldn't give.

'Arg- damnit...' He pushed the covers away and slowly opened his eyes to see it was still dark in the room.

'My head... where'd this fucking headache come from? Huh?' He moved his eyes around the room as he remained lying down on the bed and noticed that the smell of the room was very familiar.

'This is... Deku's scent. Am I... in Deku's room again?' he thought as he slowly sat up. The second he sat up, his headache got worse and it felt like his head was a beating drum that just wouldn't stop pounding.

'Ow- wait- if I'm in Deku's room... then-'

The blond immediately jerked his head down and pushed the covers away to see that he was still completely dressed, he exhaled with relief.

'Hah- geez, then what the hell am I doing in Deku's room?' he thought as he sniffed the air again and smelled something coming from the kitchen.

'Huh? What's that smell?' He stood up off the bed and stumbled through the room as his headache didn't seem to give and it just got worse.
