Katsuki opened his eyes after what felt like a long sleep. 

"And that's it, the hypnosis is complete." Briar said. 

"Huh? That's it, that was different than I thought." Katsuki said. 

"It is unnecessary for psychiatrists to have a long session of hypnosis for things to work, but it's all about controlling the mind properly. Anyway, the moment you see the Special Case, you will see their true self." Briar said. 

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"It means that your sight will decide on whether or not what exactly the Special Case appears to you. Either they are a boy or girl, but do let me know if it doesn't work. It's been a while since the last time I had to do hypnosis on a human. But just know that you will only have 24 hours before the hypnosis effect wears off." Briar said.

Katsuki jumped out of the chair and ran straight to the door. 

"Woah, Katsuki! Where're you going?" 

"I have to go and see them!" Katsuki yelled. 

"Huh? You mean Izumi?" 

"I just wanna make things right this time!" Katsuki yelled and ran out the door. 

"Ah- wait- And~ he's gone. Hah- wasn't expecting him to run out like that." Aster said. 

"It seems he was more desperate than I thought, not that I have any problem with that." Briar said. 

"But Miss Barsk, I gotta ask, I thought your hypnosis effect only lasts a few hours?" 

"It does." 

"Huh? So why'd you tell Katsuki it was 24 hours?" 

"Because that would mean he would try and use this effect as soon as possible before things faded. Once he understands his true feelings, then the hypnosis will fade completely." Briar said. 

"Hah- you really are a twisted Reaper in a way, no offense." 

"None taken, you're the human that can see, speak and hear spirits like it's normal." 

"I never considered myself normal."

Katsuki ran all the way back to the train station and wanted to make sure to see Izumi as fast as he could. He was not going to waste time, he wanted to know; did he like Izuku from the past, or Izumi in the present? 

After everything that's happened recently, he could tell his feelings have changed, but all for the better. 

He jumped on the first train he could get to and shut his eyes just so the effect wouldn't wear off on the wrong person. He wanted to make things right this time, no matter how desperate he was at this point.
