170: White Noise

'That's strange, I was expecting that this poison would've caused something terrible, but there's no effect on his body.' Phoenix thought. He looked back at the unconscious blond lying on the table and he tried to think of how this was possible. 

'He's been poisoned before, but that was in his past life when he was bitten by Yui. Does this mean... he's immune to poison in a way?' Phoenix thought.

After finishing all her paperwork for the day, Izumi was entering the hospital and looking around trying to remember where she'd find the blond, but she was quickly interrupted by a familiar someone. 

"Hey there!" 

Izumi turned around to see Aster surprisingly walking up to her. 

"O-Oh, hello again." Izumi responded. 

'I have to act like I don't know Aster, just can't say anything strange to him since he might find it weird.' she thought. 

"Surprised to see you at the hospital, did something bad happen?" Aster asked. 

"N-Not to me, but my friend Kacchan. Y'know, the one you helped me with that night when he was drunk?" Izumi asked. 

"Oh yeah, how's he doing by the way?" 

"Hopefully not terrible, I found him drunk but that wasn't the worst part. Turns out there was some poison in the drinks, so hopefully Dr. Koro can fix the problem before it gets worse." Izumi said.

'Katsuki got poisoned? How, and by who? Wait- didn't Lily tell me something about the Shinigami trying to get involved in hunting down Izumi and Katsuki? Aw man, I really hope these two are gonna be okay after this, those Shinigami are not easy to deal with. I was lucky that I didn't get killed because of Ikari, but I'm still not safe from them myself.' Aster thought. 

"Oh yeah, any reason you'd be here, Aster?" Izumi asked. 

"Ah- one of my college mates got in a car accident a few days ago and they just started allowing for visit family and friends today. Turns out I'm one of the only people that care to visit them." Aster explained. 

"Oh no, I hope your friend's okay." 

"They'll be fine, they're a lot tougher than they look, so you don't need to worry. I think you should be more worried that your friend was poisoned." Aster said. 

"Right, I need to see if Dr. Koro has managed to get the poison out, excuse me!" Izumi stated and left Aster behind.

Izumi took a deep breath as she stood in front of the door and just as she was about to knock on the door, it swung open and Phoenix stood there. 

"Ah- Miss Midoriya, you got back sooner than I was expecting, but that's quite alright." Phoenix said. 

"And... What about Kacchan?" 

"See for yourself." Phoenix commented as he shuffled his feet and allowed the greenette to look in the room. Izumi slowly walked into the room to see Katsuki lying in a hospital bed with an IV attached to his arm and he was sound asleep. 

"You're quite lucky to have brought him here when you did, otherwise that poison could've hurt his body more than it should've. It's another good thing that it wasn't a high dosage of poison that he inhaled, otherwise he would've been in much more pain." Phoenix noted.

The greenette exhaled a sigh of relief to see that Katsuki was going to be fine. 

"So... when do you think he'll wake up?" she asked.
