58: Strange

"I mean... I'm happy to see you..."

Izumi felt like her chest just exploded, and it didn't help that Katsuki's dog ears looked like they were pouting. 

"I-I- I didn't know that... U-Um... t-thank you for taking care of me, when I was sick, I mean." Katsuki jolted and noticed she was averting her gaze from him. 

"My mom told me that you were worried about me when I was sick, and so I wanna thank you for taking care of me." Izumi said. Katsuki could see how much she was blushing and just wanted to hug her and hold her tightly, but he restrained himself.

Instead, he grit his teeth and pulled his scarf off and started wrapping it around the greenettes neck. 

"Huh- Eh?!?! K-Kacchan, what're you doing, you'll get cold!" 

"You get cold easily compared to me." he said in a harsh tone. 

"B-But- I-I'm fine." Izumi said, as she was about to take the scarf off. That is until Katsuki grabbed her hand and stopped her from unwrapping the scarf. 

"Just wear it, I'm a dog remember, I can stay warm without it." He said. 

"O-... Okay..." she mumbled as she felt her neck getting slightly warmer. 

"C'mon, let's see what we missed at the Station." Katsuki said and took the lead. 

"Okay, right behind you Kacchan." Izumi mumbled and watched as Katsuki's tail started wagging again. 

'Hmph, this isn't... so bad...' she thought as she giggled to herself.

"There you two are, where have you been?" Anastasia asked. 

"U-Um, Kacchan, did you ever tell Captain?" Izumi asked. 

"No, since you were sick I didn't even come here once." Katsuki said. 

'He didn't come to the Station once while I was sick?' 

"Huh? Izumi, you were sick? Are you okay?" 

"I'm fine, Captain. It was just light pneumonia, but I'm feeling a lot better thanks to Kacchan helping." Izumi said. Anastasia was surprised, especially when she saw Katsuki was blushing at Izumi's comment. 

'Huh- seems like these two got closer since the last time I saw them. Last time they were here, it was awkward, but now it's... lovey dovey in a way.' Anastasia thought.

"So did we miss a member of the League?" Izumi asked. 

"What? Oh no, but we are getting closer to finding out the culprit responsible for Mange's death, and Stain's escape." Anastasia said. 

'They still haven't figured that out, what's so hard about finding a snake- wait-' 

"There was a snake there that night." Katsuki said. 

"Hm? A snake? What night?" 

"The night I was taken after we detained Mange and Muscular. I was taken by a snake." Katsuki said. 

"You- You were Kacchan?" Anastasia thought about it and remembered how both Mange and Stain were marked by snake scales. 

"Both of you follow me." Anastasia said and started walking through the Station.

Anastasia had them follow her to Chevy's office and didn't even attempt to knock on the door. Chevy looked up to see the Captain, Izumi and Katsuki behind her.
