40: Refuse

"Aster- wait!" Izumi yelled. 

Both Aster and Katsuki stopped to turn and look at the greenette. 

"We can't go that way, let's go back this way!" Izumi yelled and started running. 

"What?!?! Izumi- wait!" 

'Damnit Deku, what're you doing!?!' And both of them followed behind the greenette.

Izumi could tell that Spinner was on their tail, and she thought of a crazy idea and headed inside of the abandoned shrine! 

"Izumi! Why go in there!?!?" 

"I don't have time to explain, just follow me!" Izumi yelled and Aster and Katsuki followed through. 

"Stop running from me!" Spinner yelled. 

As soon as Spinner entered the abandoned shrine, he couldn't find any of them in sight. 

"Damnit, where're you hiding?!?!" he yelled and started searching. 

Izumi had managed to hide on the opposite side of Katsuki and Aster, but she couldn't see Spinner and where he was searching. 

'I gotta think of something to do, but what?' Izumi thought.

"Having problems?" 

Izumi turned to see Iris standing next to her. 

"Iris!" 

"Shh- I can tell you're trying to think of a plan." Iris whispered. 

"Yeah, but I don't know what to do. There has to be some kind of trap we can pull... wait- this place is highly flammable, right?" 

"That's correct." 

"Do you think you can start a fire and burn this place?" Iris blinked a few times, not what she was expecting to hear. 

"Is this your plan?" 

"Mn. I think if we cause a fire, it will slow him down. Besides... this is the only option I've got." Izumi whispered. 

"Hm, consider it done." Iris said, as her index finger sparked and a Blue flame appeared.

"Any idea why Deku's making us hide in here?" Katsuki whispered. 

"No clue, I'm as blind to her thinking as you are." Aster whispered. Katsuki remained calm, until the scent of burnt wood hit his nose. 

"Wait- is that... fire I smell?" Katsuki whispered. Aster sniffed the air too and recognized the scent all too well. 

'Why- no- How'd the shrine start a fire?' Aster thought. 

And after a minute or two, smoke covered the inside of the entire shrine, causing a smokescreen. 

"Damnit- can't... see..." Spinner yelled, trying to look around.

"Aster, Kacchan, get out of here!!!" Izumi yelled. 

Aster and Katsuki froze, was Izumi gonna stay inside and fight Spinner? 

"What about you, Izumi?" 

"Don't worry, I'll be fine! Just get Kacchan out first!" Izumi yelled. 

Aster and Katsuki looked at each other, and as much as they wanted to stay, they didn't want the smell to affect them. 

Both of them ran straight to the exit, and in the time of them escaping, Spinner saw and ran right towards them and pulled out his Makeshift Sword.
