44: Villain

"It's my brother, they say he was blindsided by someone and is being taken to the hospital."

They all rushed to the hospital and came to see Iida's older brother in a hospital bed and lying unconscious. 

"Tensei..." 

"Your brother just finished surgery." They all turned their heads to see Phoenix walking up to them. 

"Ah- Doctor Koro." Izumi said. 

"Hello again, Miss Midoriya. No injuries from you this time, I see." Phoenix teased. 

"Ah yes, but... how's Iida's brother?" Izumi asked. 

Phoenix looked at the window where Tensei was seen. 

"Luckily he will survive, but the unfortunate thing is that he will not be able to walk anymore." Iida froze. 

"He- He won't?" 

"Unfortunately. The moment an officer found him, he told them he couldn't feel his legs. He said he had no idea where the person responsible appeared from and attacked him without any reason." Phoenix said.

'Iida's brother was blindsided by someone without any reason? Just who would do this?' Izumi thought. 

"It will take some time before your brother wakes up, but we will make sure that once he does, that he recovers well." Phoenix said, but Iida dashed out of the hospital as fast as he could. 

"Iida- wait for us!" and all of Class A went right after their old class president. 

"Iida-" 

"Let him be." Izumi looked back at Phoenix. 

"But- everyone else is-" 

"Are you aware that this could be the work of a human possessed by a spirit?" Izumi froze.

"Huh?" 

"Though it is strange for a spirit to do this in broad daylight, Iida's brother was still blindsided by it. A normal human wouldn't do this in broad daylight, but a spirit would because they don't care. I'm sure Chevy and Anastasia are trying to figure everything out right now, but just know that if you help them, it could be far worse than you will expect." Phoenix said with daunting eyes at the greenette. 

Izumi felt a shiver down her spine, she'd never seen this doctor get so serious before, especially involving a spirit. 

"Would be best if you get home soon before you end up being attacked too. Iida's brother was an officer at the neighboring station from yours, be careful on your way." Phoenix said and left the greenette and dog in the hallway.

'That guy... just what is he to know this kinda stuff? Hope Deku's not gonna try and-' Katsuki looked up at the greenette and froze. 

Her eyes looked terrified from what she was just told, and her skin turned pale. 

"Ah- Deku, don't listen to that guy!" Katsuki barked. Izumi snapped back and looked down at the dog. 

"Oh Kacchan, sorry, let's go before it gets too late." Izumi said, as she rubbed her eyes. 

'Is Deku... actually scared?'

Izumi and Katsuki were walking home and Izumi couldn't get what Phoenix told her out of her head. 

"Just know that if you help them, it could be far worse than you will expect."
