22: Rejoice

After visiting the river of a distant memory from the past, Izumi and Katsuki were back to walking the streets of Japan as it got later in the day. 

"It is dinner time, what should we have?" Izumi said, looking around. 

'Can't we just go home already? I'm fucking tired.' Katsuki thought. 

"Hey Izumi!" Both of them turned around to see Aster walking up to them. 

"Aster? What're you doing out here?" 

"Hmph, I just got out of work and was gonna get dinner. Same for you?" Aster asked. 

"Yeah, just not sure what to pick for dinner." 

"Great, cause I have a suggestion!"

"I was expecting something nicer, but this is okay too." Izumi said, standing in front of the same Ramen shop she'd just come to a few days prior. 

"You can never get tired of this place, it does help that I know the owner of the place. He told me that since I come here so often, that I get a discount." Aster said. 

'I haven't smelled Ramen in a long time, let alone tasted it.' Katsuki thought. 

"I guess this isn't bad, it was good the last time I tried it. Why not?" Izumi said and followed Aster inside and they sat down.

"Well if it ain't Aster!" 

Aster, Izumi and Katsuki looked up to see River walking over to them. 

"Oh hey River. Didn't expect to see you here at this hour." Aster said. 

"Are you kidding, this is the best time of business for me. Well~ if it isn't the same little lady from before. Ah- don't tell me- you two are on a date?" River asked and Izumi turned red with embarrassment. 

"What? No! I told you before, River, she's just a friend!" Aster said. 

"Uh huh, and why haven't you asked Lily out on a date yet?" 

"Because she's just a friend too. And stop butting into my love life!" Aster yelled. River looked over and saw Katsuki sitting next to the greenette. 

"Oh? Who's this little guy?" 

'Lit- Little?!?!' Katsuki thought and growled at River.

"Woah woah, take it easy, I was just teasing!" River said. 

"Sorry about that River, he's my pet, his name is Katsuki." Izumi said, trying to ease the dog to calm down. 

"Well then, it's nice to meet you too, Katsuki." River said. 

'Yup, this guy's weird.' Katsuki thought. 

"Sir." 

River turned and looked to see a man with long straight jet Black hair and Golden eyes. 

"Ah- Jun, strange to see you up here, but what's up?" Jun didn't say anything as he just walked towards the man and whispered something into River's ear. 

"Uh huh, I see. That's a shame." 

"What is?" Aster asked. 

"Looks like my second job needs me at the moment! Not to worry, I'll be back in a jiffy! Jun, make sure these three get enough to eat. Oh- and it's on the house!" River said.
