87: Pride

"Did Aster mean Kacchan woke up?!?!"

She jumped off her bed and looked at her clock on her phone, it was almost 11 P.M.. 

'The visiting hours ended hours ago, but... I'm sure I can find a way to sneak in to see Kacchan. I just want to know if this means Kacchan woke up.' she thought and started to change her clothes. 

She grabbed her phone and pulled her shoes on and was out the door in seconds. 

'Aster wouldn't be suggesting for me to go see Kacchan without a reason, it was a sign that Kacchan could be awake.' she thought and rushed through the streets.

As she started walking down the street, she looked up to see large crowds of people, practically everyone. 

'Crap, today's still New Year's Eve, which means everyone's still out waiting for the New Year! Am I gonna make it to Kacchan in time? No, I have to- wait- I got an idea!' 

She ran back to her apartment complex and went all the way to the roof. 

'Not sure if I should do this, but as long as no one sees me and I get there to Kacchan, that's all that matters.' She thought and started sparking Emerald Green, she was going to use her powers and speed through the sky like a rocket! 

'Okay powers, though I still need to train, I want to get there, I want to see Kacchan.' she thought and before she could even realize it, one simple leap turned into one giant leap. 

'Wahhhh- wait- that's too much!!!'

She was surprised to have landed on the roof of the Pumilum Hospital, her hair was a large Lion's mane mess, she was out of breath and in a daze with just what she went through. 

"Okay, looks like I won't be using the speed of my powers until I can train it properly, that was way too fast. But at least I got to the hospital, and to the roof, which means I can sneak through and try not to get caught." she said and took a deep breath. 

"Time to see Kacchan."

She tried to open the door that led to the inside as quietly as possible and slowly went down the long spiral of stairs to find the right floor. 

'Why does Kacchan's room have to be on the first floor and this is the 6th floor?!?!' she thought as she took each step carefully. 

She walked through the quiet hallways and finally stopped in front of the door leading to Katsuki's hospital room. 

'This is it, please please PLEASE be awake.' she thought and raised her hand to open the door and slowly opened the door. 

She peeked her head inside the room, and unfortunately, Katsuki was still lying there unconscious. 

'He's... he's not awake, so much for all the effort I took to get here.' she thought as she closed the door behind her and walked up to the bed.

She took her seat in the chair that was sitting next to the bed and couldn't help but stare at the sleeping blond. She glanced over to see his hand resting on top of the bed sheets, so she reached her hand out and grabbed his hand and held it tightly. 

"Kacchan... why's your hand so cold? You're usually as warm as a furnace when I hold your hand or when you hug me." Izumi joked. 

She lifted his hand up and started blowing hot air onto his hand to warm him up. "It is pretty cold in this hospital, it's just as cold here as it is in my apartment." she said, trying to laugh it off.
