161: Storm Warning

The following morning arrived and the greenette could hear her phone alarm practically ringing in her ear. She slowly reached her hand out from under the covers and shuffled her hand back and forth to find the phone and finally managed to grab it and turn the alarm off. 

She sat up from the bed and rubbed her eyes which followed with her yawning and stretching her arms out. 

'It's morning already? That sleep felt too short for me. Hm?' She glanced over to see the window and could tell how Gray and dreary it looked outside from all the clouds covering the sky. 

"Oh? Is it going to rain today?"

After getting up and waking herself up by walking around the room a bit, Izumi walked out of her room, pulled her hair into a high ponytail and then got dressed into her now clean Police uniform and then headed straight to the kitchen. 

'I hope it doesn't rain too bad for today, it was really nice and peaceful for the weather the past few days. I almost forgot I was still at Yaoyorozu's, along with Todoroki and Ka-....cchan...' 

She stopped in her tracks and remembered everything that happened the night before. How she talked to Yaoyorozu who was trying to cheer her up, or Shoto who supported her when she said she likes Katsuki and that she shouldn't wait too long to tell the blond. 

She couldn't possibly forget that the blond specifically wanted to talk to her and then he hugged her. 

"If we weren't friends, I wouldn't have done something like this, would I?" "Why the hell would we be mutual when we've known each other rather than being just mutual friends? You said it yourself, we're best friends, stupid."

The greenette couldn't help but blush at the memory and she held her hands close to her rapidly beating chest. 

'Todoroki's right, sooner or later I'll have to tell Kacchan just how much I like him, but why am I so scared this time? Is it because so much has changed in this life that I have no idea how Kacchan will think or answer? Erm- this reminds of when I confessed to him in our past life and how surprised he was at what I said. And though I was expecting him to turn me down back then, he confessed to me right after and we started dating the next day. So... would Kacchan want to date me in this life even with how much things have changed this time around?' Izumi thought.

"Deku?" 

The greenette jerked when she heard her name and slowly turned around to see Katsuki standing there–dressed in his Police uniform–and staring at her. 

"Ack! G-Good morning K-K-Kacchan, I-I didn't know you were standing there!" she stuttered. 

"Huh? You didn't hear me call you a few times before?" 

"Y-You did? O-Oh, then I guess I'm still not completely awake yet... sorry." she mumbled. 

'What do I do? Should I tell him now or wait till our field work is over?' she thought. 

'What's with her? She's acting weird.' Katsuki thought with a puzzled look.

"Oh, Midoriya and Bakugo are awake!" 

Izumi turned around to see Yaoyorozu and Shoto walking up to them. 

"O-Oh, good morning, Momo, Todoroki." Izumi greeted with a bow. 

"Looks like all of us are awake, so we should go out and do a little work in the field today." Momo suggested. 

"Ah- um, Momo, would it be safe for us to go out today? I could tell it's going to rain pretty soon." Izumi noted.
