Izumi and Katsuki walked through the busy streets of Japan and were heading directly to the Police Station.
"Once I get all my stuff from the station, then we'll be job hunting, Kacchan." Izumi said.
'Don't you mean you will be job hunting? You just brought me out because you didn't want me cooped up in that small place you call home.' Katsuki thought.
Though he wasn't really looking forward to the fact that he'll be walking all around Japan on a leash, he was a bit relieved that he was outside. One thing that did make this seem a bit better was the fact that Izumi seemed a bit happier after everything that happened the night before.
Izumi walked straight into the Police Station, along with Katsuki, and walked up to her desk and started packing all her things. While she was packing her things, Katsuki could tell that everyone else in the station was whispering, and specifically about the greenette.
"If she'd have just listened to the Chief, none of this would've happened."
"Why does she think butting into the field work will make things better?"
"She should've minded her own business and not cause so many problems." people whispered.
Though the dog wasn't sure about all the details behind Izumi's firing, it still somehow pissed him off, as he started growling at everyone around him.
"Alright, all of you mind your business and get back to work!"
Izumi looked up to see Anastasia walking up to her.
"Ah- Captain!" Izumi stopped what she was doing and was about to salute to her.
"Ah- wait- that's right, I'm not an officer anymore, sorry." Izumi said.
"Hmph, it's alright, Izumi. No need to apologize, it was just out of habit for you." Anastasia said.
"Right..."
"I will be honest, after you left yesterday, I did try to talk some sense into Chevy. We could try and dispatch you to another station if you want." Anastasia suggested.
Though that did sound tempting to the greenette, she remembered what Chevy told her.
"I have told you countless times that you are not allowed to do field work, and now that you've disobeyed me again, I have no choice."
"Thanks for trying to convince the Chief, but I think I wasn't meant to be an officer to begin with." Izumi said.
"Ah- but are you sure you want to do this? I'm sure you'll feel easier being dispatched to another station."
"I'm just fine, Captain." Anastasia froze.
"Hah- very well, but please do be careful. Just because you're leaving this job doesn't mean you're safe from the dangerous spirits out there. So do be careful wherever you work in the future." Anastasia said.
"Yes ma'am, I'll make sure to be just fine, Captain. Ah- oh right, I guess I shouldn't have to call you my Captain anymore. Hmph, I'll be careful, Anastasia." Izumi said happily.
Anastasia had never been called by her name by the greenette before, it was a bittersweet feeling.
'If only you weren't the special case human, none of this would've happened.' Anastasia thought.
"Stay safe, and work hard wherever you choose to work."
"Mn! I'll do my best! C'mon Kacchan, time to go." Izumi said, slightly pulling the dog's leash to follow.
