25: Riddle Me This

Izumi and Katsuki were walking back home and Katsuki could tell that everything they just saw at the Police Station bothered the greenette. 

'Is Deku still wondering what happened back there? It was weird that guy smelled different than those guys Deku took down. But why does that guy smell like mud? It's a weird smell to begin with and doesn't make sense as to why.' Katsuki thought.

"Hey Izumi." 

Izumi looked up to see Aster just a few feet away from her and Katsuki. 

"Oh- Aster. Did you just get out of class?" 

"Hmph, did you forget that it's the weekend? I don't have class on the weekend." Aster teased. 

"Ah- right." 

"Nah- I just got off work. How're you feeling after last night?" 

"Oh that... I'm gonna make sure I don't drink with you again." 

"Aw c'mon, it wasn't that bad." 

"I don't remember anything." 

"Oh- then I'll make sure Jun doesn't make it so strong next time." Aster said happily. 

"Hah- I'm more worried about other things at the moment." Izumi said. 

"Hm? Like what?"

So Izumi explained everything to Aster at their usual bench while Katsuki just sat on the ground and listened to them. 

"So a member of the League turned themselves in last night, but they're not acting like they usually do?" 

"Mn. Muscular's known for being a bit outlandish and loud, and from what Chevy told me, Muscular didn't fight back when he turned himself in and when the Police detained him. It's all too strange to me and I think something's up behind this." Izumi said. 

"Hm... that does sound pretty weird. Wait- I thought you were supposed to be off work today." 

"Oh yeah, I am, but it's a natural habit of mine to get out of the house. I can't sit still for too long." Izumi said. 

"Does this mean you're gonna turn down that job you applied for a couple days ago?" Izumi froze. 

"Ack! I completely forgot about that! Watch Kacchan for me until I get back, I'll be right back!" Izumi yelled, as she jumped off the bench and ran.

"Ah- well she's in a rush. So..." Aster turned his gaze to the Ash Blond dog. 

"You seem pretty quiet today." Aster said. 

"Tch- I don't wanna talk about it." 

"Oh yeah? And what's that supposed to mean?" 

"Arg- nevermind!" Katsuki barked. 

"Do you know what Izumi was talking about? I'd assume you would since you were practically forced to go with her to the Police Station." 

"Hah- yeah, I know about it." Katsuki growled. 

"Good- then... Shift." and he snapped his fingers for Katsuki to turn into a human. Katsuki stood up straight and rubbed the back of his neck. 

"Did you figure out something that Izumi doesn't know about?" Aster asked.

"Yeah. What you told me when I asked you what they smell like." Katsuki said.
