20: Acceptance

"I apologize for the way I treated you, Midoriya, and would like you to come back and work as a Police Officer and do field work." Izumi looked up at him and went wide eyed, did she hear that right?

"Ah- huh?"

"It also came to my attention that these 2 members were holding a large group of innocent people captive, and that you managed to get all of them out of the area before taking care of the members?" 

"Y-Yes sir." 

"It seems you know more about the members of the League than I'd anticipated, as it seems you were not severely damaged by the two of them. Since you were able to handle 2 members of the League and detain them, I greatly owe you an apology for not believing you. And for that I would like you to come back and officially do field work with us." Chevy said.

"Y-You... You really want me to come back?" Izumi asked. 

"Well after all the work you pulled off with taking down 2 members of the League, why wouldn't we?" Anastasia stated. 

"Of course, if you do decide to come back, you will understand that I won't go easy on you." Chevy said. 

"I-I understand." 

"So will you come back?" 

Izumi sat there in the chair and somehow felt a lot of pressure weighing her shoulders down. 

'Should I come back? Though it's only be a few days since I was fired, everyone here might be annoyed that I came back. But... I did take down 2 members of the League- but I didn't do that on my own.' Izumi thought and looked up at the Chief.

"I'll come back-" 

"Great-" 

"But on one condition."

Chevy froze, what could she possibly want? 

"What would this condition be?" Chevy asked. 

"Hmph, that my dog is always there with me to help." Izumi said, resting her hand on the dog's head. Katsuki froze, this was not the condition he was expecting. 

Chevy and Anastasia looked at each other and then back at the greenette. 

"Any reason why you want your dog to become an official K9?" 

"Because he was the one who found the members of the League, not me." Chevy froze. 

'This dog is capable of doing something like that? Wait- this dog... something's not right about it.' Chevy thought, looking at the dog who only growled at him.

'A dog like this could easily find members of the League? Not even some of our own K9's, even K9's that're possessed by spirits, couldn't do that. I knew this dog had a strange aura, but this clearly means this dog is different altogether.' Anastasia thought. 

"My dog also saved me in the nick of time before Mustard was about to shoot me. So it's pretty evident that my dog is willing to protect me." Izumi said, petting the dog. 

Katsuki tried to contain his blushing from remembering that he did get tased by Mustard because he was trying to save Izumi in the process.

"I see, so that means your dog won't need any special training." Chevy said. 

'Training my ass, it was a natural habit for me to smell them from a mile away!' Katsuki thought as he growled at Chevy again.
