"Jin Bubaigawara, of course I know him, all too well." Briar interrupted. 

"You do?" 

"Yes, I know more about him for a simple reason. He was a patient of mine."

Izumi froze, 'patient'? What did she mean? 

"Miss Barsk was a psychologist before she became a teacher." Aster said. 

"So what I said before, I meant that Jin was a patient of mine who needed psychological therapy." Briar said. 

"O-Oh."

"He was a patient of mine who was going through a very tough disorder, and back then this disorder wasn't such a problem. If I'm correct, he came to me long before he got possessed by a Spirit that used his disorder and worsened his situation." Briar said. 

"So what disorder does he have?" Izumi asked.

"DID; Dissociative Identity Disorder." 

Izumi had heard about this disorder before, but she didn't know the exact meaning behind it. 

"Ever heard of Multiple Personality Disorder?" Takashi asked. 

"Ah- y-yes, I've heard that." 

"It's the same thing, it's just DID is more scientific." Takashi said. 

"Precisely, and Jin was only in the early phase of going through DID when I first met him. I was trying to help him and control his other personality and hoped that only his host personality would take control. It seems that though I tried to help him, a spirit still possessed him and used his other personality against him." Briar said.

"How'd the spirit do that?" 

"Simple. The last time I saw Jin before I realized he was possessed, he appeared to have attacked himself. His second personality decided to hurt his physical body and the last time I saw him, he had a large scar going right down the middle of his forehead. It was a sign that his second personality was trying to fight back, but I have a feeling it wasn't just his second personality coming out." Briar said. 

"What d'you mean?" Katsuki asked. 

"It's one thing to cause self harm to your own body, but something seemed completely off when I saw that scar, as I realized that scar was completely straight and right in the middle of his face. As much as I want to think it was just a stranger that attacked him, I don't think that would be the case. I believe that after he got possessed by a spirit, which was able to duplicate his body, I think the duplicates weren't sure who the real Jin was." Izumi froze.

"His duplicates... caused harm to him?" 

"Mn. After seeing him in that state, I went and did some research of my own and it turned out he was taken to Phoenix's hospital and examined there. Though none of the doctor's, including Phoenix, didn't see his mental issues, they could see his physical issues. And after seeing his face, I knew exactly what was going on, his disorder has worsened on his body, and it doesn't help that that scar splits his multiple personalities completely in half." Briar said. 

"So... did he go through an identity crisis?" 

"You could say that, but it was much more complex than that. Though I don't know all the details, I believe that his duplicates worsened and caused his multiple personalities to fight with one another, causing a large breakout and for him to get a large scar on his face." Briar said.
