They're a group of wolves, some being banned or trying to find home in a new pack. Revenge isn't the goal, only surviving and making a life of their own.
C|TW: mentions of death, implied sexual assault (not towards reader),
RISOTTO NERO
Risotto was easily the stealthiest and strongest amongst his family, he was their pride and joy. Because he had a heart of gold and could connect with his family, understanding their needs, they believed Risotto would be a great leader. That changed once his cousin was hunted by humans. When he learned that his family and the humans agreed to force the murderers out of town, Risotto became furious!
He couldn't understand why they'd be lenient when one of their own was murdered. Humans would surely start hunting them for sport if his pack didn't take action and kill them for what they've done. So he did just that. Slaughtering anyone involved in hunting his cousin, regardless of what his family agreed to. With no one in his corner, Risotto had no choice but to leave. It didn't hurt him since he didn't appreciate his family putting human feelings over werewolf lives.
PESCI
Growing up Pesci was quiet and preferred to observe his family, sometimes gaining the courage to join in during games. He wasn't as brash or rowdy compared to them but he loved his family with all his heart. Their energy gave him comfort since he was raised alongside them and while he wasn't as rough he still loved to play, fight, and hunt. So it hurt him deeply when they suddenly decided to kick him out.
He didn't understand why being gentle, compassionate, and a bit sensitive was a reason to abandon him! It's not like he was a burden, he was a great hunter and had the strength to protect himself and others! As he begged them to reconsider a few members started shoving him away which led to a fight breaking out. Pesci ended up wounding plenty of his former brothers before he left.
MELONE
Melone was too curious for his own good. He loved to have labs and collect data on whatever piqued his interest regardless of his pack's safety. Nobody was saying that science was dangerous or that it was forbidden! They were only asking that he didn't do "experiments" that'd upset the peace. You would think Melone would have sense enough to get the leader's permission before testing out his theories. However, they were shocked to learn that he had been impregnating humans without their consent to create human-wolf hybrid children!
Everyone was sick but not surprised about the discovery, they were more concerned about what would happen next. They'd surely end up feuding with the humans after having a peaceful decade. Which brought the possibility of losing family members and having to find a new home depending on the battle. They had no choice but to disown Melone and try to smooth things over with the humans. As punishment they did keep any children that were born from his curiosity, they'd probably be treated as lab rats had Melone raised them. Such a shame considering he was a great asset for the pack.
PROSCIUTTO
Prosciutto used to be the leader of his previous pack before joining Risotto's! He thought he was doing great as the leader, nobody was hungry, thirsty, or without shelter. With him, they had an abundance of clothes and materials too! Things were going well in his mind. He didn't realize that he was too stern where he could've been gentle. There were days Prosciutto should've shown humility and only doubled down.
So eventually his pack decided to throw him out, preferring to have someone who can lead but also be empathetic. Rather than fighting them or challenging the werewolf they elected as leader, Prosciutto walked away with his head down. To this day he wishes he had the knowledge he gained from watching Risotto lead them. If anyone were to bring it up he'd bare his teeth as a warning to drop the conversation.
GELATO
Gelato's old life wasn't anything drastic or dramatic, that's kind of why he decided to leave. It was far too boring for him to stick around. The pack had all these routines they'd follow day in and day out never once straying from what they know best. Anytime Gelato would suggest new methods or places to add to their routes it was always the same answer, no. It was frustrating living with people that were too comfortable to try new things, especially when they had the necessary skills to become a better version of themselves.
Gelato wasn't going to wait around for them to see things from his perspective or stick to the old ways out of fear. He understood that he couldn't force them to be like him, and they couldn't stop him from wanting a different lifestyle. Which is why he decided to leave his family and find a new pack that'd fulfill his needs. He is truly grateful to have met Risotto and the others, they give him that rush that he's been longing for.
GHIACCIO
Ghiaccio was raised to be the next in charge after his father. They had hopes that he'd be able to fill the shoes of his father but as he got older they noticed his anger was never managed. There would be days when Ghiaccio had to be stopped from nearly mauling his relatives over petty spats! Everyone tried to understand that it wasn't like he wanted to be as aggressive but there's only so much you can do when your family is being harmed over and over again.
Once Ghiaccio was twenty-three they told him he'd have to leave since he was still refusing their advice and help with his anger. They hope the new family he finds will be able to help him where they couldn't. It hurt Ghiaccio deeply and left him feeling like he was a lost, unlovable, cause. Compared to the members of his new pack it took Ghiaccio the longest to get used to everyone. He assumed he'd be one conversation away from being alone again.
FORMAGGIO
While Formaggio wasn't the worst, he wasn't the best either. His pack was more comfortable living amongst humans but still claimed certain areas for werewolves only. They'd go through the city, interact with humans, and sometimes would have romantic relationships. However, that didn't mean they were in the clear. Plenty of humans still saw them as threats and treated them with caution. That's why Formaggio was a danger to the pack.
Formaggio is constantly stirring up drama and causing little feuds that sometimes escalate into fights. These fights usually end with humans nearly dying from blood loss or having one of their limbs amputated. He is a sadistic person regardless of his surroundings. Because of his gruesome behavior, humans start to become fearful of the werewolves, slowly going back to seeing them as their enemies. This is enough to convince the pack that they'd be better off without Formaggio since he's creating a division that could lead to misery.
ILLUSO
For most of his life, Illuso didn't have the best bond with his family. He treated them like associates, only speaking when he was working alongside them. They never hated him for it because they assumed he was an introvert. You could always find him a few feet away from everyone, watching them from his favorite spot in the bushes. He was the best when it came to stealth and gaining intel, so getting rid of him never came to mind.
It was Illuso that declared he'd be better off leaving the pack. As soon as he was old enough to break from the group Illuso was ready to prove that he could be more successful than his family using his methods. It was a weird goodbye since they thought he was happy, but they supported him nonetheless. Illuso learned quickly that he was not cut out for leading or being alone. Too prideful to admit he needs help, Illuso decided to suffer on his own instead of returning to his family. He was lucky enough to come across Gelato during that time.
SORBET
He had the potential to be the next leader until his greed became apparent. In order for Sorbet to complete his task there has to be an incentive! When he was asked about his thoughts on expanding or challenging a group it'd be based on the material gain. The thought of his family and their needs never came to mind. So it surprised no one when Sorbet's father decided to train someone else for his position.
There wasn't any resentment or shame when Sorbet learned that his family didn't think he'd be fit for the role. It relieved him. Now he could focus on his interest and have the time to learn about himself and what he wanted in life. That's why Sorbet spent most of his younger years alone but never unhappy. Traveling to different places and stealing whatever caught his eye. It wasn't until he was in his late twenties that Sorbet wanted to be a part of a pack again.
