  More than likely all the members of La Squadra can agree that Diavolo can fuck off. He's been shorting them for years and has mocked them for wanting to be respected. They'd follow orders and do the hits, no questions asked, but it was never enough for Diavolo to give them more or treat them as notable members of Passione.

  Even though you did nothing wrong, your life gets a little more uncomfortable now that they're aware that the boss has taken a liking to you. They're not going to take chances, the last thing they'd want is to give Diavolo the perfect opportunity to snatch you away. So even the likes of Pesci and Formaggio become strict when you're in their care.

  None of them will let you keep in touch with your family anymore. You used to be able to get Melone or Pesci to take you to see your parents or at least visit your cousin but now the answer is always no. Don't bother bringing up what was promised or reminding them that you didn't even break one of their stupid rules, because nobody cares. It's for the greater good and they're not doing it to hurt you.

  The men promised that the more you accepted your new lifestyle, the more they'd allow you access to your old one, and they meant it. It's just not like Diavolo to spare your loved ones if it meant getting his way. Your family could end up as collateral if you're spotted with them, so until this blows over you're just not allowed to stay in contact with them.

  Another big thing they promised you was the illusion of freedom. You were allowed to leave the home to entertain yourself, or maintain whatever little routine you kept to make life worth living. As long as one of them was with you, they'd let you go anywhere. Lately, you'd be lucky to walk to the mailbox.

  Normally they would send you across Italy to each other's homes because not everyone wanted to share a house, even if it meant having you around more. While the boss is playing his little game you'll be staying with Ghiaccio, and Risotto. Their stands are quick and don't require time to be used. It's immediate for them and can be devastating out the gate. So you'll now be bouncing between the two homes, while still receiving visits from the others.

  There won't be any fights or arguments over this new arrangement because they are all aware of how low the boss would stoop to get what he wants. You don't exactly become the leader of a mafia with good morals or lines. They'll put up with the change if it means they won't lose you and be humiliated by the boss, again.

  None of them are excited to lose more time with you, they already share with eight other men. It's not like they're shaking with excitement as they offer ways to hide you from the boss. They have no choice but to put a hold on their relationship, missing out on those little moments that made it all worth the trouble. Only able to visit every other week until another viable option presents itself.

  If the goal was to just hide you away from the world regardless of your emotional well-being, you'd be stuck in the mirror world slowly losing your sanity. But here you are, lounging in Risotto's home surrounded by all you've ever wanted, being pampered by nine lovesick assassins. Don't make this more stressful than it already is.
