After the camping trip, Sandra learned to pick her battles with Diego and to let him have his way, most of the time, she didn't want to upset him and ruin the time they were together when everything went well.
By the end of the month, Diego dragged Sandra along to go to his friends martins to be outside while there dog and her boyfriends dog played together, Sandra really loved when Diego was able to have his dog. At that moment the dog chui, was something him and his ex wife shared and he was a great dog.
Playing with chui, Sandra then turned to eye that Diego and Martin started to drink, she signed to then turn back about to then play with the dog.
She didn't like it when Diego drank, he was starting to become a bit meaner when he did that.
Eventually he got Sandra to drink, for them to settle to the kitchen when Sandra started to talk to Martins daughter who was telling her she was a sadist.
Sandra looked her over has they started to talk for her to then go to Sandra to bite her neck and hard, to show Sandra she was not like her.
Diego raised his beer to laugh has he drank not to help Sandra with this situation but just to eye, she then moved back to look it over for Sandra to turn her head to eye down.
"Oow!"
"See, your not like me." She laughed.
Sandra looked to her to nod.
Never said I was.
Soon there conversation died down and Diego was trying to go home, drunk, martin took his keys and told him no, Sandra was right next to him to tell him the same.
Diego sat to the couch to look at them both to then start to be really mean to Sandra, Martin looked over this to then sit down next to Diego..
"Hey, treating your woman like that is not okay. You need to treat her better."
Sandra widened her eyes, martin was the first friend of Diegos that actually stood up for her, sandra then eyed over Diego.
"Diego..... Maybe this relationship..... Is not what you really want... Maybe we need to break up."
Diego widened his eyes to look to Sandra.
"What?"
Martin got up to look to Sandra.
"Maybe this is a conversation you two need to have when you two haven't been drinking."
Sandra kept her eyes to Diego who looked at her with concern.
"Diego.....you don't really treat me well, you have an alcohol and smoking problem, I don't know if we should continue on with this relationship."
Martin made a hard face to then turn to leave.
"You two really need to just go to sleep."
Diego got up to eye over her.
"Sandra, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. We don't need to break up "
"Diego....I don't see this relationship going anywhere good anymore, you keep trying to drive drunk, I know you have demons like you're mother leaving you in Mexico to then raise another family here, the issues you have with your biological dad and a few other things, I really don't know how to help you. You really need professional help."
"I'll get that, just don't leave me."
Sandra looked over Diego to hang her head wishing she could go to her father's or her apartment.
"Diego, it's late, we both tried to leave when we're like this, I just want to get some sleep. I want the couch you can go to the other one, just want to be alone."
"Sandra I don't want us to sleep alone."
"Diego, I really just need my time right now."
Diego looked over Sandra in anger to then turn to leave, Sandra watched him stomp away to then go to lay down where he just was to place her hands under her head to look forward, to let the tears fall.
Sandra was very much in love with Diego, would do anything for him, but she was only 22 and didn't really know what to do in this type of situation anymore, she was also having her sisters tell her this isn't a healthy relationship but a toxic one.
Sandra closed her eyes has she continued to cry, she then opened them to look down to see Diego sitting to the edge to look over her to have a hand to her side.
"I'll get help Sandra. Please just don't leave me. I don't want to be alone."
Sandra signed has her obvious boundary was being crossed again.
"Diego.... We've talked about this once before, you also took a drug class after you got arrested and you just keep doing it. Look, I don't mind smoking and drinking sometimes but you do it way too much. I'm not that type of girl."
"I know I know, but Sandra, I love you. I don't want us to break up. Please. "
Sandra made a hard face to look down.
Diego looked her over to then start to move about to lay behind to wrap his arms about, Sandra turned her head to eye over him.
"Diego?"
Diego shuffled his head a bit.
"I don't want us to break up. We are not going to do that. I'll get help. Let's sleep, I'm tired."
Sandra looked over him to sign to then turn her head to look to the side to not really know what to do, the people there were his friends, not hers, sandra couldn't reach her phone and she didn't want to be a burden to her family given they had there own families and lives they were living.
Sandra looked down to grit her teeth to slowly close her eyes to let the alcohol take hold.
The next day, Diego and Sandra didn't talk for them to get into the car for chui to be in the back seat to be very playful and happy, sandra kept her head turned to eye out the window to then turn her head when they stopped to look to Diego.
"What..."
"I want to treat you to something after last night "
"Diego..... We really need to ..."
"Sandra, I will get help, I know I have addictions, I have demons, I know you are a strong woman and that's why I need you. Don't leave me!"
Sandra flexed her jaw to watch Diego get out to then sign to follow, to feel very bad about herself and went with him into the eatery knowing there was no where for her to go at all.
