starting something new

Looking across from a new guy Sandra was showing slight interest, she continued to eye him has he took her out to lunch at an eatery she liked to go to.
He looked through the menu to then eye up to smile to then look back down.
Sandra continued to eye over him to then look down to the menu, she already knew what she wanted. Sandra took a deep breathe, this guy was very much different then Diego, he treated her with niceness and respect.
He then placed his menu down to then look up at her.
"Believe I know what I'm getting, what about you?"
"I know already. Trust me going to be cheap."
They rolled there eyes.
"Don't do that. I'll pay, get whatever you want."
"What I like is cheap orrin."
Orrin laughed for them to start to talk, this was a breeze of fresh air for Sandra, he didn't play on his phone when they were out and about, he actually wanted to talk.
Once they had there lunch, the two then went to the place she first met Diego to go to a bench to look over the water while Sandra was feeling a bit uncomfortable..
It was the place Diego had asked Sandra to be his girlfriend.
Orrin turned his head to look over Sandra who was looking out towards the water without an expression.
"Are you okay?"
"A bit cold."
"Do you want to leave?"
"Mm... Maybe in a bit. I really like this place... Also want to get rid of a bad memory here."
"Oh?"
"Well.... Guess wasn't a bad memory..... This is where my ex.... Asked me to be his girlfriend."
Orrin nodded to then look forward.
"I.... Don't want to...... Make you.... Well um..... What happened between the two of you?"
Sandra signed.
"A lot. He's an alcoholic, didn't treat me very well, was always on his phone, cheated on me with his first wife, couldn't stop talking to his first wife, wanted to be friends with benefits also..... He wasn't really there for me when I.... Had a miscarriage."
Orrin turned his head to. over Sandra.
"You.... Had a miscarriage? Oh my.... I'm so sorry to hear that."
"It was.... Very difficult for me.... My ex and his family didn't really seem to care.... Even though it was only 3 weeks I..... It's still hard "
Orrin moved closer to then wrap his arm about sandra.
"This guy sounds like a real jerk. I'm sorry you had to go through that."
Sandra shrugged.
"Young love..... He was my first in sex and my first real relationship, these things happen, just happy that's over with."
"Which is good, I also was curious on why he...."
"I don't know, he's just shows up to my place without telling me."
"Weird...."
Sandra shrugged again.
"Well, since it's getting a bit cold, let's go to my friends."
Sandra nodded for get and orrin to then go to his friends where they sat down on the couch for everyone to be talking, Sandra made a face to then take in a deep breathe to then give orrin a kiss, the way he was with her at the pier spoke volumes to her. However when they kissed Sandra wasn't really feeling anything, she then went back to look over him with a smile to then turn her head to feel weird about what she did. Orrin widened his eyes to then place his arm over Sandra to pull her closer with a huge smile.
Sandra darted her eyes to then look to Orrin.
"Tomorrow I need to go to work, really want to hang out more but..."
Orrin shook his head to then get up to hold his hand for Sandra.
"Say no more, I have work tomorrow too, let me take you home."
Sandra looked to that hand to feel like crap, she wished she felt more for Orrin, he was being so very nice to her, in ways Diego never ever was.
Sandra took his hand to then hold it while they went to the car, driving back they talked a bit for Sandra to be to her bed dressed for bed to be groaning.
What is wrong with me! Orrin is such a nice guy! Am I only attracted to assholes!
Sandra took the pillow she had over her face to place it to her stomach to look over the ceiling to then shake her head.
I just need to give this a chance, broke up with Diego about a month ago, haven't seen or talked to him in a bit, this is really for the best, just have to give orrin a real chance.
Sandra turned to her side to be holding the pillow with a furrowed brow. She still felt weird and she couldn't understand why.
Sandra closed her eyes to sign.
You need to get over Diego and try and hard with Orrin, he really is so much better, even though he is a white guy and a bit over weight, your no spring chicken.
Sandra took in a deep breathe to slowly open her eyes to look over the wall.
I need to be better, need to stop being so.... Critical of people and being a.... Bitch.....
Sandra whimpered to then let go of the pillow to then go to her back to eye over the ceiling to shake her head.
You deserve a great guy Sandra, you did not deserve what Diego did to you, there is something wrong with him and not you, you can over come this, you need to move on with Orrin.
Sandra gulped to then sit up to dart her eyes has she continued to feel weird.
Shaking her head she got up to grab something to eat to then go to lay to her couch to eat to then slowly drift off.
You need to move on with Orrin, forget Diego, he wasn't even that great to begin with, there were so many read flags.
Sandra then fell asleep knowing she needed to give orrin a real chance.
