As Ram opened his eyes in the morning, a joyous scenery was unveiled before his eyes. Every nook and corner of their room was filled with flowers and little oil lamps.

"Who did this? Priya? Where is she?" Ram wondered before going to search for Priya. He found her downstairs making a beautiful rangoli.

"She woke up so early just to make that rangoli! She didn't even sleep well last night. She has lit oil lamps at every corner of the house. Ma'am acts like her life is completely dry and boring, just like black and white films. But she is busy filling my house with color and light, Priya." Ram spoke in his mind.

Priya finished making the rangoli. As soon as she moved a bit Ram hid behind a pillar fearing Priya might scold him for getting up. As Priya went towards the kitchen he went back up to their room. There he sat on the bed.

A few moments later Priya came to him with a bowl of halwa.

Ram- Areh, you are awake.

Priya- Happy Diwali, Mr. Kapoor.

Ram- Happy Diwali. Did you do all of this?

Priya- Ha, Mom used to say lamps should be lit in every corner of the house on Diwali. I hope you are not disturbed.

Ram- Of course not. I love it. You know Diwali is my favorite festival. Cause No matter how good or bad the time is, it lights up every corner of the house.

Priya smiled watching Ram smile.

Priya- Did you freshen up?

Ram- Ha? No. I completely forgot.

Priya- How can anyone forget that?

Ram- Now will you taunt a sick person?

He pretended to cough a bit. Priya rolled her eyes and hid the smile that was trying to appear on her face. These little antics of Ram let her know that he was alright. Ram freshened up in a hurry while Priya straightened the pillows.

Ram- There you go. All clean. I changed the shirt too.

Priya- Ok, good. Now eat it.

Ram- Halwa! Am I allowed to eat Halwa?
