"Are you really gonna make me go to the prom alone?" I asked Dallas.

"You won't be alone." He stated. "You said that your best friend was going."

"Yeah. With her date! I'm gonna be a third wheel." I complained. "Why won't you go with me?"

"You knew when we started dating that I wasn't gonna go to prom."

"Well, I thought you would change your mind." Dallas rolled his eyes.

"I'm not going."

"Fine." I sighed and got off his bed. "I've gotta go and make sure I have everything ready since prom is tomorrow." I made sure to slam the door on the way out. I just don't understand why he won't go to prom with me. It'll be fun. When I got home I tried my dress on to make sure it still fit and got all of my stuff together.

**Dallas' POV**

She knew that I didn't wanna go to prom! I don't know why she's making such a big deal. Since she's mad at me I guess I'll go hang with the gang. I can either go to the Curtis' and hang with Two, Johnny, Pony, and Darry or to the DX and hang with Soda and Steve. I'll go to the DX. Less people. I walked in to see both of them sitting at the counter.

"Hey Dal." Steve said as I walked in.

"Hey guys." I replied leaning against the counter. We talked for a while and then prom was brought up. Ugh.

"You taking (Y/n) to the prom?" Soda asked.

"No." I rolled my eyes. "And she's really mad about it too."

"Well yeah." Soda laughed. "Girls live for prom."

"But you usually get laid by the end of the night so it's cool." Steve winked and I laughed. "That's the only reason I'm taking my girl."

"It's supposed to be a fun, romantic night, Steve." Soda scolded.

"Yeah. I guess you're right." He mumbled. "You should surprise (Y/n)."

"Why?" I asked.

"She'd love it and you know it."

"I don't even have a tux to wear." I made an excuse.

"I got one you can borrow." Soda gave me a smug smile.

**Your POV**

I'm getting ready for prom and I'm right now done. I still can't believe Dallas. Whatever. I'm gonna have fun tonight. I heard at a knock on the door and figured it was my best friend. To my surprise it was Dallas.

"Dal?" I smiled. His mouth hung open and he just stared at me for a minute.

"You look beautiful." He said in almost a whisper and smiled to himself.

"You look very handsome." I winked.

"I got you these." He handed me the biggest bouquet of roses I've ever seen.

"Oh my goodness." I said in shock. "Thank you." I sat them down on the table. Dallas grabbed me hand and led me to the car. He opened my car door for me and shut it once I got in. Tonight will be much better than expected.
