"Hey, Babe." Darry smiled as I walked out to his car. "Ready to go?"
"Yep." I smiled and kissed him on the cheek. He's taking me to a movie and dinner date for our six month anniversary. He held my hand as he drove and we had some small talk. It took us about ten minutes to get to the diner. He took me to this small, cute diner on the outskirts of town. I smiled to myself as I remembered him bringing me here for our first date.
"How did I get so lucky to end up with a girl like you?" Darry smiled. "I love you so much."
"I love you too." I said in return and gave him a kiss on the lips. "More than you know."
Once we got our food we are slowly and talked, knowing we had a couple of hours until the movie. As we ate I looked around at the other couples. I saw all of the girls wearing cute dresses and skirts. They had their hair curled, straightened and in cute styles. They also all wore make-up. I then self consciously looked at my outfit. I wore a simple t-shirt, skinny jeans, and a pair of chucks. My hair fell on my shoulders naturally and no make-up is on my face. I pushed the thoughts out of my head and smiled at Darry continuing our conversation.
"Which movie do you wanna see?" Darry asked as we walked to the stand with our arms locked. I finally convinced him that a chick flick was the only way to go.
The movie was really good. I might've cried a little bit, and Darry laughed a little but we had fun. Once it was one Darry threw his arm over my shoulder and we walked out behind the other couples. The girls were dressed the same as the ones in the diner. Should I start dressing like that as well? Darry has never complained but would he like me better? Am I as pretty as the other girls?
•the next day•
I woke up early the next day and walked to my closet to find something to wear. As I was examining my clothes I turned to look at myself in the mirror. I stared at my reflection for a few minutes before deciding i was going to dress cute today.
I pulled on a bright yellow button up that was tied in the front, coming just above my belly button, and cut off sleeves, a pair of white shorts that weren't too short and a pair of black flats. I then put my hair into a braid on the side and started on my make-up. I decided to go simple, choosing only eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. As soon as I finished getting ready I grabbed my car keys and looked at myself one more time. Here goes nothing.
**Darrys POV**
I'm standing in the kitchen making breakfast for the gang. I couldn't stop smiling about how great last night was. I don't what I did to get someone like her but I'm not letting her go. My thoughts got interrupted as I heard the front door open.
"Woah.." I heard a few of the boys say in the living room before joining them confused.
"What're you guys... Woah." I stopped mid sentence seeing her.
"Good woah or bad... Woah." She asked nervously.
"Good woah." All the boys replied smiling and she smiled in return.
"What brought this on?" I asked after giving her kiss and greeting her.
"I guess I didn't feel I was pretty enough for you." She replied looking at the ground.
"I think you looked absolutely perfect." I said. "You looks beautiful now, but you look gorgeous the way you were. You don't have to change for me."
"You're too good for me." She replied hugging me.
"I'd say the same about you." I whispered. I smiled to myself knowing I had found the perfect girl.
