Ponyboy

I'm at the library trying to get a book. Most people find reading really boring but I absolutely love it. It takes you to a whole other world. It makes it seem like everything's okay for a bit. Right now I'm trying to get a book that's on the top shelf. Me, being the short person I am, is having trouble getting it. I tried asking the librarian to get if for me but she said I'd eventually get it. How'd she even get this job?

"You need some help there?" I turned to see a cute boy walking down the isle.

"Yes. It's on the very top shelf." I groaned. Neither of us could reach it. We'd need that latter thing the librarian has.

"If you want I can lift you up." He said still looking at the book.

"Could you?" I smiled.

"Yeah get on my shoulders." He kneeled down and I got on his shoulders. He stood up and it was the perfect height to get the book.

"Thank you so much." I smiled as I hoped off his shoulders.

"It's no problem." He smiled. "I'm Ponyboy by the way."

"I'm (Y/n)." We walked together to the checkout counter.

"Where you goin' after this?"

"I don't know. Around." I shrugged.

"You wanna go with me to the DX?"

"Sure." While we walked Ponyboy told me that his brother and friend worked at the DX. He's really a sweet boy. Cute too. He's so dreamy. You wouldn't think anyone could be that dreamy but he is. He seems to go off into his own little world while doing just about anything. Just a few minutes ago he almost walked into a pole while daydreaming.

"Ya there (Y/n)?" Pony laughed waving his hand in my face. "And you made fun of me for daydreaming."

"I wasn't daydreaming! I was thinking."

"What about?"

"I don't know. Stuff."

"Sounds interesting." He laughed. We finally made it to the DX after twenty minutes of walking.

**Ponys POV**

We just made it the DX and I hope Soda doesn't make a big deal about me being with a girl. He's weird like that. We walked in and Soda was sitting at the counter.

"Hey Pony." He looked and smiled. "Who's your friend." He stared at (Y/n). I groaned internally. I know that stare. "Is she your girlfriend?" (Y/n) blushed.

"No she's just a friend. I met her at the library. Her name is (Y/n)." Soda smiled again.

"Hi (Y/n). I'm Sodapop. Ponys brother. Do you like Pony?"

"Umm he's a nice guy." Her face is redder than a tomato.

"Yeah but do you wanna date him?"

"Soda!" I yelled.

"What?! I'm tryin' to get you a date!"

"If want a date I can get a date!"

"Then get one." Soda said with a smirk.

"Fine. (Y/n) ya wanna go on a date with me? I was gonna wait longer to ask but now will work."

"Um sure. I'd love to." She smiled.

"I didn't think you'd do it." Soda had a surprised look.

"Well I did. We're leaving now." (Y/n) laughed and followed me out the door waving to Soda.

"So when's this date?" She smiled.

"How 'bout tonight?" I returned the smile.

"Yeah. That'll work."

And that's how I got into an amazing relationship with my amazing girlfriend.
