"Hey Pony." I say as I walk up to my best friend. Pony and I have been best friends since the first grade. The problem is that I have a crush on him. That's like the first rule of guy best friends! You can't like them! Because if you like them everything goes downhill from there. You tell them they awkwardly have to tell you they don't like you and then you slowly stop talking to each other. So as you can tell. I don't like this.

"Hey (Y/n)." Pony smiled. It also doesn't help that I'm a Soc and he's a Greaser.

"How's life been since I last saw you?"

"Well a lot happened in that one day." He replied. "I got married and had three kids."

"Oh that's good."

"Yeah until I realized she was cheating and none of the kids were mine. It's been a hard day for me." I laughed and he smiled at me. "How's your life been."

"Pretty good. I just slept in that day. didn't get as much done as you." He laughed as we walked into the house.

"Lovebirds are here." Steve yelled. The gang has called us that for a while even though we're not dating. We used to get mad but now we just roll our eyes and ignore it. Steve messed up my hair as I walked past him to sit on the couch.

"Did I leave my make-up bag here?" I asked Darry as he walked out of the kitchen.

"I don't know." He shrugged. I turned back around to see Soda and Steve trying not to look at me.

"Have you two seem it?" I rose an eyebrow.

"Us?" Soda asked innocently. "Nooo." Steve shook his head in agreement. They're such bad liars.

"It was Ponys idea." Soda finally admitted after me staring at them for five minutes. I turned around and saw Pony glare at him.

"You don't really need it." He stated shrugging.

"Fine. Whatever." I rolled my eyes and turned back around.

"(Y/n), I only did it because I care. I want you to be confident in yourself." He sighed.

"Alright." I smiled. That wasn't to bad if a reason.

"And if you don't mind. I would love to take you on a date and prove to you how beautiful you really are." He gave me a crooked smile and I could feel everyone in the room staring at me. I started thinking about if we broke up and what would happen. But then I thought about if we stayed together and couldn't help but smile.

"I don't mind at all." I replied and kissed his cheek.

"Finally!" The entire gang said in unison. I guess it is about time we got together.
