I'm walking with Keith to his friends house considering I have nothing better to do. I guess that's one good thing about being Keith's little sister. Of course all his friends call him Two-Bit which in my opinion is just dumb. I've always got somewhere to go and something to do. The only problem with his friends house is I don't get along with Darry. At all. We're total opposites. I don't think we have anything in common.
"Try not to get on Darry's nerves today." Keith said giving me a look.
"Then tell him not to get on my nerves!" I argued.
"Y'know Johnny thinks y'all are gonna end up going out." He laughed.
"Ew." I stated simply and scrunched my nose at the thought. "That's gross."
"Darry said the same thing." I rolled my eyes and we walked into the Curtis'. I glared at Darry and sat on the couch by Dallas. Darry returned the glare and went back to his book when I sat down.
"Hey baby." Dallas winked and put his arm around me.
"Dally." Darry warned probably knowing what Keith would do.
"No." Keith grabbed his arm and pulled him off the couch taking his seat beside me. "That's not gonna happen." Dallas rolled his eyes and went into the kitchen. "If you ever hook up with him I will skin you."
"Please." I scoffed. "Me hook up with Dallas Winston? Not gonna happen." Keith smiled at my answer.
"How come you two don't get along?" Dallas asked gesturing to Darry and I.
"Because she's immature."
"Because he's annoying." We replied at the same time causing us to glare at each other again.
"Hm." Dallas responded. "Well Pony, Johnny, and I are going to the nightly double. You kids have fun." The three of them walked and then Keith spoke up.
"Okay. Well I'm gonna go to a party. You two can work out your issues." And with that it was just Darry and I. I rolled my eyes and changed the channel on TV.
"I was watching that." Darry groaned.
"The news?" I rose an eyebrow. "Who watches the news."
"Grown ups." Darry spoke as if I were five and took the remote switching it back.
"Don't talk to me like that!" I said getting angry. "You have no right! I'm not five!"
"You sure act like it." He rolled his eyes. I then went I this huge lecture telling him how I just like to have fun and that he's just a stick I the mud and other stuff along those lines. I could see him getting annoyed and I refused to let him interrupt me. Then he did something quite unexpected. He kissed me. It was a soft gentle kiss. At first I was shocked but then I started kissing back. After a few minutes he finally pulled away.
"What was that for?" I asked as he rested his forehead on mine.
"I had to shut you up somehow." He smiled.
"If you ever do that again while I'm talking I'll slap you." He smiled again and then leaned in for another kiss.
"We can't tell the gang about this." He laughed as he pulled away.
"We'll never live it down." I laughed putting my arms around his neck. Of course eventually the gang did find out and of course I was right. We never lived it down. But I don't regret it for a moment.
