Right now the van is stopping in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I'm kinda a hippie. We basically travel around the country and make protests where needed. I'm not as bad as the others I guess. If there's anything close to violence they freak out. I just get annoyed. Nothing can be solved with violence. Right now I'm just wondering around town. I'm not really friends with any of the others on the bus. They're all pretty dumb. I've already got a hotel room so there's not really much to do. As I'm passing by a vacant lot I hear two boys talking.

"Did ya see that hippie bus come into town?"

"Yeah. They're gonna suck." I decided to jump into the conversation.

"What's wrong with being a hippie?" I smiled as I walked up behind them. They turned around and looked at me. The first had movie star looks and a smile to die for. The second was muscular and had a bird tattoo on his shoulder. "Love the tattoo by the way." I winked.

"Thanks." The one with the tattoo said. "You one if them."

"Yeah." I laughed. "You never answered my question."

"Well. You guys are kind of annoying. Ya think people gotta live like you." Said the one with the smile.

"Yeah that's the majority of them." I laughed again.

"Are you not like them?" The tattooed one says.

"Well I don't like violence but I don't go to the extremes they do."

"Oh. Well I'm Steve and this is Soda." Steve stuck his hand out.

"(Y/n)." I smiled and shook his hand.

"So what're y'all doin' here?" Soda asked.

"We needed to stock up on food and we figured we'd stay around for a few days."

"Just a few days?" Steve asked and I nodded. "Well how about you let me take you on a date before you go." He winked.

"Sure." I smiled.

"Where can I pick you up at?" I told him where I was staying and then went to leave. "I'll get you at 8. We're going to the daily double." He yelled.

"See you then." I yelled back and then ran off to meet with the others.

**Steves POV**

"Who would thought that you'd like a hippie." Soda laughed as we walked back to his house.

"She was different." I smiled. "I really like her."

"Well wait til the boys hear about this." He laughed again.

"Whatever." I rolled my eyes. We walked into his house and that's the first thing he yelled.

"Steve likes a hippie!" All the boys turned and stared at me.

"She wasn't one of the crazy ones."

"Yeah. She was actually kinda cool." Soda agreed. "But she's gonna leave in a few days so it won't last.

"But it wouldn't work out anyway." Dally said. "Even if she was a cool hippie that don't matter. She won't like violence."

"Then I guess it's good she's not staying long." Two-Bit said. I hung out with them for the rest of the day until it was time for me to get (Y/n).

"I gotta go. See ya later." I got up.

"We might be goin' to the Daily Double. Mind if we sit with y'all?" Dally asked.

"You can if ya come."

"Okay."

**Your POV**

I was in my motel room when someone knocked on the door. Must be Steve.

"Hey." I said as I opened the door.

"Hey." Steve smiled. "Ready to go?"

"Yeah let me get my key." I grabbed the key card off the table. The other hippies were staring at me as I left with Steve. "So what's the Daily Double?"

"It's a drive in. We usually sit in the back where the seats are."

"Cool." I smiled. For the walk over we talked about pointless things. It's like we never run out of things to talk about. I think I really like Steve. It sucks that I'm leaving in a few days. As we got to the Daily Double he walked to the back fences and went to go through the hole in it. "You don't pay?"

"If you'd rather do that we can. I've gig the money."

"Then why are you going through the hole?" I laughed.

"Cause I'm a rebel." He joked. "I guess you're not rebel enough for me."

"Oh really?" I laughed. "Let's go." I climbed through the hole and he smiled. We kept joking as we walked over to the seats. When we sat down Steve put his arm around my shoulder. About five minutes after the movie started. A few guys came and sat by Steve. One of them is Soda. I recognize him.

"Hey (Y/n)." Soda said as he sat down. "This is Dally and Two-Bit. They're in our gang."

"Hey I'm (Y/n)." I smiled at them. Through out the entire movie Steve kept whispering jokes in my ears making me laugh.

"Hey. I'm supposed to be the funny one!" Two-Bit lectured him.

"Sorry." Steve laughed. None of us were paying attention to the movie. Dallas was trying to flirt with some girl but was epically failing. And the rest of us were just joking around.

"So do you hate violence as much as the other hippies?" Two-Bit laughed.

"I hate but not as much as the others."

"Why do you guys hate it so much anyways?"!Dally piped in.

"Cause it's pointless! It don't help anything! It'll only make the problem worse."

"Do you get high a lot like the others?" Soda asked this question.

"Not as much as the others." They continued to ask questions and I continued to answer. I was having a really good time with these boys. After the movie Steve was walking me back to the motel.

"So how long are ya staying?" Steve asked swinging our hands.

"A couple more days I think."

"Oh. That sucks."

"Yeah." I sighed. "I kinda like it here."

"Then stay." Steve whispered in my ear. I looked up at him thinking about it.

"I can't. I don't have anywhere to stay or any money.." I went to say more but he interrupted me.

"You can stay with me until you get on your feet." I placed his forehead on mine. "Please. Stay." He leaned down and kissed me. We kissed for a while before I broke it.

"Okay." I smiled. "I'll stay."
