I imagine Uriel singing this to himself in remembrance of Daniel's faith (with Daniel in attendance as a witness up in Heaven).

Uriel spoke. "During the reign of King Darius...there were one hundred and twenty satraps (ruler over a province of Persia), to be set over the whole kingdom; and positioned over these satraps, were three governors. Of whom Daniel was appointed and whom the king favored above all the others."

Uriel smiles as the images show the high regard King Darius had for Daniel.

"This distinguished Daniel above the governors and satraps, because of the excellency of the spirit that resides within him. And so the king gave thought of setting Daniel in the highest position over the whole realm that could have been bestowed upon him. The governors and satraps in their envy and greed sought to find some form of charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because Daniel was devote in his faith; nor was there any error or fault found in him."

Lucifer smiled. "You favored him strongly in soul didn't you elder brother."

"Of course! He was the most faithful prophet of dreams within the Old Testament! The most faithful in prayer too!"

Uriel then frowned and spoke as the image paused in a quiet area of the kings palace where a group of governors were gathered.

"The envy and greed of those men doomed them, and took all that they had and all they have even known away from them. This is the story of fools and their arrogance, of the truth of a man whose faith had justice rain down upon his assailants...and tamed the lions."

The envy of the governors and satraps drove them to seek out the darkened corners of the kings palace to plot Daniel's downfall.

"We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God."

So these governors and satraps all gathered together before the king, and said in a loud voice to him.

"King Darius, live forever! All the governors of the kingdom, the administrators and satraps, the counselors and advisors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever petitions any god or man for thirty days, except you, O' king, shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O' king, establish the decree and sign the writing, so that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter."
———————————————

All was quiet as Uriel spoke.

"Therefore King Darius signed the written decree, because Father deemed it so...and so it must be."
———————————————

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since the early days.

Then these men assembled and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. They immediately went before the king, and spoke their wicked plot in 'concern' towards the king's decree.

"Have you not signed a decree that every man who petitions any god or man within thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?"

The king answered and said, "This is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter."

So they looked at one another with hidden smiles before they answered the king, "That Daniel, who is one of the captives from Judah, does not show due regard for you, O' king, or for the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day to the God of his people."
