The Owner's Pet Part II

Hello, this is another short story. But I'm currently planning a big ending for "The Owners Pet", but that will take a while. Until then you have this.😁

"What a show Mia! I'm glad you didn't lose your Spark!" shouted Roger. He sat down opposite her.

Mia looked at him, he was now sitting where Marjorie had just been.
She kept dropping her fingernails on the tabletop. "So I work at Reece's nursery now. And I suppose you want him and me to get back together?" she asked emotionlessly.

Roger laughed. "Exactly!"

Mia stared straight ahead. "I didn't know Marjorie yet. How long have you known her?"

Roger looked at her questioningly. "Ten years. She's been working in my company for ten years."

Mia exhaled. "And does she give up easily?"

Roger's expression became more serious. "No. She can be very ambitious."

"So how exactly do you envisage that then? How am I supposed to keep Reece away from her?" she asked. Her eyes were now staring straight into his.

Roger leant back. "You'll find a way!"

Mia laughed slightly. In exasperation. "Ok, let's say I manage that and then what?"

"Then you make sure that Reece and Autumn continue to hate each other. And besides, I have other things to ask you."

Mia was getting restless now. "What else?"

Roger stood up slowly. "You're also going to make sure that Autumn and this Winter break up! I've already tried to frame him. But he's got a clean record."

"Why would I do that? What's the point of destroying your daughter's relationship?" asked Mia.

Roger put his hands on the table. "I'm losing my control over her. Break her heart and she'll be obedient again."

Mia ran a hand over her face. "Okay, let's say I can do that too. Will you give me the information about my father then?"

Roger laughed. "If you've done all that for me. Then there's only one thing left... You're going to give Reece children!"

"What?" Mia shouted.

"Reece is thirty-eight years old and still childless. This is a family business and I want to keep it that way!", he said seriously.

Tears formed in Mia's eyes. "To bind me to you and Reece forever..."

Rogen looked at her coldly. "If you really want to see your father again. Then you'll do as I say!"

Mia rubbed her eyes. "And if I fail?"

"You won't..." Roger started pacing around the table. Until she felt his hands on her shoulders. A shiver ran down her spine and her whole body tensed up. "Because if you fail..." He now grabbed her hair and forced her to look at him. "You'll never see the daylight again!"
