The disastrous dinner with Clodagh's family was now two days ago. They had both decided to leave it alone for now and not tell Clodagh's parents.

Even if this was hard on Clodagh. No matter how much they had hurt Clodagh, well more her mother and older sister, than her father. She wanted her family to remain a part of her life.

Sorscha, on the other hand, was done with this family once and for all. In her opinion, they didn't deserve to be anywhere near her wife and child.

It was a rainy Sunday afternoon, and the two of them just wanted to enjoy the day before the weekend was over. But suddenly the doorbell rang.

"Are you expecting someone?" Clodagh asked, putting her book aside.

"No," replied Sorscha, taking her headphones out, as she was listening to a podcast.

Clodagh got up from the couch and made her way to the front door. To her surprise, her younger sister was there.

" Lauren? What are you doing here? I thought you were still in Edinburgh."

"I was, but after that nuclear bomb that just went off in our family. I just had to come to you." She hugged her sister tightly.

The two of them made their way back to the living room.

"Hiya Lauren!" shouted Sorscha.

When everyone had made themselves comfortable on the couch, Lauren started to tell them what had happened.

" I don't know why you wanted to meet up with Mum and Dad. But Jeez, I really need to know what happened. Because the last 48 hours have been an absolute warzone in the family What's App group!"

Sorscha glanced at her wife. Lauren was different to the rest of the family. She had also a good reasons to moved so far away.

"What do you mean Warzone?" asked Clodagh.

Her younger sister grinned. "Oh right, i sometimes forget, that your no longen in the group. Well, Fiona had a total mental breakdown. Somewhat about her boyfriend being gay? Do you know anything about that?"

"The guy has his Grindr ringtone on," Sorscha said dryly.

Lauren looked at her, startled. " In our family? Did he wanted to be found out?"

"Probably. A silent cry for help," Clodagh said.

Lauren took a sip from her cup. "But Fiona is already over him again, she's back on speaking turns with Louis now."

Sorscha scratched her head, she had to think hard. Who was Louis again? "Was Louis the blonde one?" she asked her wife.

"No, Louis was the footballer with the fake American accent," said Clodagh, placing her hand on Sorscha's thigh.

"Ah yes..." Sorscha mumbled, but she still didn't know, who that guy was.

Lauren watched the two of them, smiling slightly. They really were made for each other. "But that's not all," she continued quickly. "Dad has left the house for the time being and is now staying in a hotel."

"Harald had the courage to leave?" exclaimed Sorscha in surprise.

Clodagh frowned. "I wonder how long..."

"Let's face it. He'll be back in a few days anyway. Well, my highlight was Mum again. She worked her way through four bottles of wine in two days and blamed everyone. Even me, I wasn't even there!" Lauren at least still saw the humour in it all. For Clodagh, it was just sad that her family was like that. "But enough of that. Why did you wanted to tell them? What was so important?"
