Sorscha was on her way to leave, she was about to exit, when the door opened and a woman stepped inside.

Sorscha's whole body immediately tensed. Another vampire? What was going on today? Her skin was burning, she had to get out of here as quickly as possible.

But the woman blocked her way. "Where is Autumn?" asked a menacingly friendly voice.

"In her office..." Sorscha managed to get out, she looked at the floor and felt her teeth sharpen.

"Thank you, now go home little puppy."

The Irish woman looked up, startled, into the deep dark eyes, which were almost black. But the woman just grinned and walked past her.

Autumn sensed her presence and looked at Marjorie, who also seemed to notice her. The manager clutched her armrest.

The door to the office opened. "Hello Autumn."

"Janice." Autumn growled.

The black-haired woman just grinned at her. " Relax, I'm just here to tell you something from your father. He's expecting you and your brother for dinner tonight."

Autumn immediately felt sick. Dinner with her father could only mean one thing. Human blood. Autumn felt sorry for her, the woman who had become her father's new plaything. He didn't kill her or turn her. He used her for her blood for as long as he could. Her father had always been too lazy to hunt. Siobhan wasn't the first woman.

"Maybe you can bring your boyfriend with you, Autumn. And Reece his girlfriend." Her eyes wandered to Marjorie.

"Tell my father that we're not interested."

Janice tilted her head. "Oh Autumn, if you don't come to him. He'll just visit you at home one day. Is that what you want?"

"Go!" Autumn hissed.

" All right... Autumn open the window, it smells like wet dog in here." With that, Janice left.

Autumn saw the frightened look on Marjorie's face. "We know, Marjorie. Reece knows too."

The manager jumped to her feet, her blood burning. There were just too many vampires around her today. " I have to go..."

Autumn stood up too. "Reece, doesn't care what you are," but her words fell on deaf ears. Marjorie just had to leave quickly before the monster burst out of her.

Autumn tried to stop her, grabbing Marjorie's arm. It hissed. Startled, Autumn pulled her hand back. She had forgotten all about her silver ring. A burnt pallor had formed on Marjorie's skin. But she didn't seem to care. She stormed out of the office.

The rustling of the bed sheets woke Clodagh from her sleep. She switched on the bedside lamp and turned to her wife.

Clodagh could feel the warmth emanating from Sorscha, she placed her hand on the woman's forehead. Sorscha was burning hot.

"Darling..." Clodagh carefully began to shake Sorscha's shoulder.

Her eyes snapped open with a dangerous gleam. Clodagh backed away.

Sorscha sat up with a jerk, and clawed at the sheets, tearing then slightly. She breathed in and out deeply. Her fingernails retracted and her eyes returned to their normal lustre.

" Darling, how long has it been since you turned? It's not good for you, you can't suppress it forever."

Sorscha rubbed her eyes. " It's not that... There were just too many vampires around me today. I can handle Autumn, maybe Reece. But Mia and a mystery woman had to turn up today too..."
