There was silence in the room except for Carly's soft crying.

"I can't believe Deliah didn't make it..." Mia whispered, her arm around Charlotte.

Marjorie broke down, she could no longer control her emotions.

She couldn't lose him.
She needed him.
She loved him more than anything.

Deliah stepped up next to Reece.

Reece just stood there staring at his unconscious body.

"Come on, Reece." Deliah took his hand and pulled him away. She walked with him through the closed door.

Deliah pulled him along the corridor. Until they were on a roof terrace.

"I can't die..." Reece whispered.

"You won't." She smiled weakly at him.

Reece only now realised how selfish it must be. Deliah was dead and trapped here in this limbo. And he is standing here talking about how he needs to life.

"I'm sorry Deliah. I should have saved you."

The woman shook her head, looking over the rooftops of the city in front of her.

" It's ok. No one misses me anyway. "

" No, don't say that."

He watched as she closed her eyes briefly and took a deep breath.

" I've wasted my life... I spent my whole life running after a woman and letting myself be used and now I'm dead. I was meaningless and left no impression...." She suddenly started laughing. "Ironic, isn't it! Everyone always thought I was an arsonist and I died in a fire!" Her laughter turned to tears.

"Deliah..." he put his hand on her shoulder. "You weren't insignificant."

"Oh really, what great things have I done in my life?"

Reece couldn't give her an answer.

"Do you know why I stayed at the Nursery yesterday. I wanted to talk to you. I wanted to do my job well, but I didn't dare and you were so wrapped up in your paperwork."

Now Reece felt even worse.

"It's all because of the fucking spy!" he shouted in frustration.

"Spy?"

" Never mind..."

Deliah's eyes suddenly brightened. "No wait, I can help you! When I started, your father wanted to slip me money for giving him information! He said he had someone in the other Nursery who was already doing that for him..."

"Do you know who?"

Deliah nodded slowly. "I have a suspicion. He said she was the best actress he'd ever seen and everyone falls for her scam. She has the code name Moron..."

" Jodie...."

Deliah looked at him in amazement. "That makes sense. Nobody's that stupid..."

Reece stared into the distance, a strange feeling spreading through him. His ears began to whistle, the whistling grew louder and turned into a beeping sound.

Suddenly an electric shock ran through his body, knocking him to the ground.

"Reece!" shouted Deliah.

But he fell into the black unknown.

The nurses had thrown the others out of the room.

Only Marjorie resisted so much that she was still here.

She was held back by two nurses.

While the doctors worked on Reece.

"Reece!" Marjorie screamed desperately.

The monitor only showed a line, along with a beeping sound.

The doctor placed the defibrillator on his chest again and sent a shock through his body.

The nurses finally managed to get Marjorie out of the room.

The manager fell into Autumn's arms.
