"What?" Autumn asked incredulously and took a few steps away from him.

Winter picked himself up from the floor and had to take a deep breath. "No, it's not Charlotte..."

"Winter, who is it!"

The man was about to admit it, when his smartwatch vibrated. 'Roger is dead! We have to leave! Janice wants to give us our share! Winter, we have to make a choice!' Winter raised his eyes to Autumn.

Now that Roger was dead, it could be though he'd be free. But if he had learnt one thing, then that Janice was even worse. He had to decide now, bag the money and run, or stay here and face the consequences.

Autumn would never trust him again, he knew that. His decision had been made.

"Alright, I have proof and I'll show it to you," he muttered, going to his jacket. Autumn watched him closely as he did so.

Winter carefully took the small object from his jacket pocket, a gift from Janice. Which only should be used in an emergency. The last time he had no chance to make use of it.

He stepped in front of Autumn. She looked at him expectantly. "I'm sorry, my love."

Before Autumn could react, something poked her in the shoulder. She stumbled back. The syringe was still sticking out of her.

Autumn pulled it out quickly. "What the hell!" she cursed.

Winter looked at her sadly. " When you regain consciousness again, I'll be gone. I can only tell you again that I'm sorry Autumn."

The woman noticed how her vision became blurred. She tried to take a step forwards, but lost consciousness. Winter caught her and laid her carefully on the floor.

In the meantime, Reece and Marjorie had driven to Charlotte's house. The two of them jumped out of the car. Reece tried to call his sister again.

"Come on Autumn..." he mumbled, but this time again only the voicemail answered.

"Reece, we can't wait any longer if it really is Charlotte, then Mia could be in danger," said Marjorie.

The two of them quickly made their way to the front door, Reece banged on it. It only took a moment for Mia to open the door. She was only wearing a bathrobe and looked at the two confused.

Without saying anything, Reece pushed past her. "What the fuck Reece! What are you doing now!" Mia shouted and followed him.

"Where's Charlotte?" he said seriously.

"Upstairs. Reece what's going on?" Mia reached for the man to stop him.

"Mia, it's Charlotte!"

The redhead looked at him, startled. Reece stormed on, Mia close behind him.

The man almost kicked in the bedroom door and Charlotte nearly fell off the bed. She quickly covered herself with the sheet.

" Reece?!"

Mia pushed past him and looked angrily at Charlotte. " We know!"

" Know what?! What's going on?" Charlotte shouted desperately.

"You're Roger's snitch! Char, how could you!" shouted Mia.

The brunette just looked at them both questioningly. " What?! It's not me! Where the hell did you get that idea?"

Mia looked for the lie in Charlotte's eyes but only saw the truth. Reece, who was standing behind Mia, also realised that Charlotte really had no idea what was going on. He turned around, Marjorie was not behind him.
