"Why are you so smilie all day, Charlie?" asked Sorscha.

The two of them were tidying up the classroom. Once again, the day had stretched into infinity, and the parents weren't exactly nice today either.

"Mia is back in the country, and she wants to pick me up," Charlotte replied, smiling even more broadly.

" Grand, Clo is coming to pick me up today, too. My car wouldn't start this morning."

Sorscha was the first to leave the building, and at the right time, Clodagh was already coming towards her with Quinn in her arms.

"Hello, Darling." She gave her a kiss. "How was your day?"

Sorscha rolled her eyes. " Let's not talk about that... but everything is fine now."

The family was about to walk back to their car when a red motorcycle pulled into the car park and parked right next to them. Sorscha eyed the driver critically while her wife strapped Quinn into the child seat.

The motorcyclist dismounted and took off his helmet, revealing Mia underneath. "Of course..." mumbled Sorscha.

"Hey, Sorscha...", Mia said and grinned. "Do you know where Char is?"

"She's in Marjorie's office."

Clodagh stood herself next to Sorscha. "Oh, nice ride." she said in a soft voice.

" Thank you." Mia replied proudly. "Well, I'm off to pick up my girlfriend." With that, she disappeared into the building.

Sorscha just shook her head. She would probably never warm up to Mia. Sometimes, she wondered what Charlotte saw in her. " The black mustang wasn't enough," she thought aloud.

Clodagh giggled softly. "Oh, Darling, don't worry about it. The motorbike looks nice, but the quality is poor. Mia really let herself be ripped off."

This statement surprised Sorscha.
"How do you know that?"

Clodagh opened the passenger door and mentioned casually. "Oh, because I used to ride a motorbike too."

Before Sorscha could answer, the passenger door closed. She stood there stunned for a moment. She must have misheard. Her wife on a motorbike was unimaginable for Sorscha. She quickly got into the car. "You rode a motorbike? When was that?"

"From 18 to 21," replied Clodagh.

"We met when we were both 21? And if I remember correctly. Didn't I pick you up for each of our dates?" More questions began to fill Sorscha's head.

Clodagh raised her eyebrow and looked at her questioningly. "Yes, that's right, but that's because I was in a motorbike accident a few weeks before we met."

" What?!"

Clodagh crossed her arms and leant back in the car seat. "Don't be so dramatic. Nothing happened. My neighbour didn't see me when I pulled out of our driveway and caught me in his car," she said, as if it was a funny memory from her past.

But Sorscha just stared at her in disbelief. "What the fuck!"

"Sorscha Elise Doyle! Don't swear in front of our daughter!" warned Clodagh.

Sorscha just couldn't believe it, Clodagh had never told her that before.

Clodagh had to grin a little when she saw Sorscha beside her, completely stunned. "I'm not as vanilla as everyone thinks. If I could, I'd pick you up on a motorbike, too. But firstly, we have a daughter now and secondly, I know you would never get on a motorbike."

Just as Sorscha was about to answer her, Charlotte's voice rang out beside them. "Amelia Mae!"

" What a surprise, Charlotte's not the motorbike type either." Clodagh said somewhat sarcastically.

" Why so passive aggressive?" asked Sorscha.

"Well, because Mia spoke so highly of her relationship at the Halloween ball and said they weren't as boring as all the other couples at the Nursery. But look who has to call a taxi now," Clodagh giggled slightly.

Sorscha had to grin a little, too. "Maybe you should pick me up on a motorbike just to annoy Mia."
