Marjorie had to step out of the hospital room to catch her breath. Sorscha's condition was still uncertain.

She couldn't see her friend like this. Lying on the bed, connected to machines. The doctors were unsure whether there was still any brain activity. Sorscha did not respond to any of the tests. Clodagh was next to her. She just held her wife's hand while silent tears fell from her face.

Marjorie looked at her phone. Reece had rung her. She wanted to call him back. When a person came running towards her.

"Marjorie!" It was Deliah.

The woman looked completely distraught. Her forearms were scratched.

Marjorie thought she would lose consciousness at any moment when she heard the news. Reece had been shot outside the Nursery. Deliah had heard the shot and immediately called the emergency services and tried to pull him out of the car. And injured herself in the process.

His exact condition was unclear at the moment. Autumn arrived with Winter and Quinn. After a while, Mia turned up too, she had been informed by Autumn.

Sergeant Miller entered the waiting room to pull Deliah out, for questioning.

To everyone's surprise, Roger and Siobhan also turned up. The mood among the group changed.

"Roger, we have to close the Nursery until the culprit is caught!" Siobhan spoke seriously.

"No." Roger replied curtly.

" Father! Your son is fighting for your life right now and all you can think about is money!" shouted Autumn.

" Shibby and Aut are right! Otherwise we'll only put everyone in danger. Nobody wants to set foot in the building anymore," said Mia, the redhead stood leaning against the wall with her arms folded.

Marjorie stayed out of the whole thing. She just stared at the wall, she couldn't lose Reece.

Deliah came back to the group and sat down in silence. She looked completely exhausted.

" Roger! What else needs to happen? Charlotte is dead! Sorscha is in a coma! Autumn was almost a victim too and now Reece!" Siobhan shouted desperately.

Roger just grumbled and stepped away from the group to get a coffee.

Mia now did what she did best. Covering her pain with humour. "Wow Shibby, you have a heart after all. I knew i saw it at last years ball."

"Stop it Mia, the last thing I need right now is you flirting!"

Clodagh had stepped out of Sorscha's room and sat down next to Marjorie with Quinn in her arms. She took the manager's hand and if anyone could understand how she felt, it was Marjorie.

Sergeant Miller had opened her file in the next room.

"This is all starting to make no sense. Why is the perpetrator targeting then?" her partner asked.

Jane looked at the pictures of the victims. " They must all have something in common." She pointed to Charlotte.

"She was a planned murder."

Then she placed the picture of Sorscha next to it. "She, on the other hand, was an act of necessity. Not a real goal."

She put the picture of Autumn next to it. "She wasn't a target either. The perpetrator probably wanted to see if there were any traces left in the Nursery."

She rubbed her eyes. "But what does Mr Knight have to do with anything? What does he have in common with Charlotte?"

Siobhan had to get out of the hospital. She couldn't bear it. Reece was dead, he hadn't survived.

She didn't understand why all this was happening. But what shocked her most was Roger's indifference, how could he be so cold.

Speaking of Roger, he stomped past her. "Are you coming?" he asked coldly.

" No.. I need some fresh air."

" Whatever." He walked away to his car and drove off.

Siobhan sat down in the park opposite the hospital to collect her thoughts.

In her thoughts, she didn't notice a shadow approaching her from behind.

A loud bang echoed through the night. Reece's body wasn't even cold when the killer claimed their next victim.
