James Coates was a wealthy businessman who had his company in the centre of London. The two investigators didn't have to search for long. His name was brightly illuminated on the tower block.

His secretary led the two women into the man's office. He looked more than unimpressed when he saw them.

"Detective Knight and Agent Roberts," Autumn said dryly, holding up her badge.

The man looked at her sceptically. "What can I do for you?"

Mia placed the picture of Miller in front of the man's nose. " Do you know him?"

Coates looked at the picture for a moment. " Never seen him before."

"Really, why don't you take another look?" Autumn said.

Coates reached for the picture, showing his hands, which were clearly swollen and red. The two investigators exchanged glances. There they had their proof, Miller had been involved in a fight, and here sat James Coates with clear battle scars on his hand.

"Mr Coates, I'm afraid I'll have to take you with me for further questioning," Mia said dryly.

Autumn, on the other hand, quickly called Siobhan to get a search warrant.

Marjorie stood behind the two-way mirror and watched Mia interrogate Coates. When the door opened behind her.

"Interrogation without a lawyer is illegal Sergeant."

Marjorie knew that voice only too well. She wheeled round. " It was only a matter of time before you turned up. Mrs Redmare. Lawyer to the rich, how much money will he pay you?"

Janice grinned. "Enough." She could recognise Mia in the room. "Oh, the MI6 is already here, too. Interesting."

"Thank you, Siobhan," Autumn hung up. She now had a search warrant and could turn Coates' office upside down. Just as she was about to start, Sarah joined her.

Even though Autumn wasn't exactly thrilled about her new partner, she had to admit. Sarah was a good investigator, and so she found the hidden cocaine between two files.

Mia started at Janice and Coates with her arms crossed. The lawyer was whispering something in her client's ear. The agent was getting impatient. It was clear in Mia's eyes that he had killed Miller.

But Janice was a snake who knew all the legal loopholes. Marjorie entered the room. "We found drugs when we searched your office." Mia couldn't help but grin.

But so did Janice. "A search without a warrant? That makes all the evidence legally useless."

" We have a warrant. Mrs Serpent has signed it," said Marjorie.

"Oh Sergeant Van Gould, I would have expected more from you. My client's company is owned by the state, which means only a search warrant from the supreme court is legal."

Charlotte and Reece looked up in surprise as Coates and Janice simply walked out of the interrogation room without further ado and quickly exited the station. Not a second later, an angry Marjorie and Mia also came out of the room.

Sorscha and Winter were just returning from their break when they spotted the suspect and Janice outside the building. "What the hell?" muttered Sorscha. Winter could only shake his head. "Janice must have found another loophole."

The two investigators simply wanted to walk past them without confrontation. But Janice couldn't hold back. "Oh, look at that, the detectives Fortune and Doyle. Nice to see you again."

Sorscha bit her tongue and said nothing that could be used against her. Winter was already walking ahead and was about to enter the building. When the Irish noticed a black vehicle slowly approaching.

"Shit!" cursed Sorscha. "Everbody down!" As soon she uttered these words, then the first shot rang out.

Janice and Coates managed to take cover behind a parked car, Winter jumped into the building out of reflex.

Sorscha, on the other hand, drew her gun and fired at the car. She had no real chance to take cover. She also tried to escape into the building when she was hit in the chest and hit the ground hard.

Her ears were ringing, and her vision blurred. She could still make out a few shots, and then suddenly there was silence. Winter appeared in her view.

It took Sorscha a moment to collect herself. She slowly sat up.

"Are you all right!" shouted Winter.

Without answering him, she pulled her jumper upwards. She was immediately confronted by the bullet, which was stopped by her bulletproof vest.
