OCs 2 - the Sequel

Rex Visits His Grandma

"Night Rex," Ginger said, ruffling his hair and kissing his head. "Sleep well."
"Night mommy," Rex said.
Ginger smiled then walked out. After she was gone, Rex teleported to Vanessa's house and wandered in the living room, teleporting beside her.
Vanessa looked over at him, pausing her show. "Hello Rex... Why are you here?"
Rex hugged her. "I miss when you liked me grandma... And I wanted to tell you something."
Vanessa hesitantly hugged back. "Okay... What is it?"
"Mommy got engaged!" Rex announced.
"She did?" Vanessa asked, surprised. "To...what was his name...?"
"Neil! But he's my dad-ancé!" Rex explained.
Vanessa couldn't resist a laugh because of dad-ancé, but then she refocused. "Oh... Okay... Is he nice? Aren't you going to be jealous?"
Rex blinked a few times. "Jealous...?"
"Because when two people get married, that means they really love each other, Rex. I just wondered if it would make you jealous, since you're used to it just being you and Ginger," Vanessa explained.
Rex frowned slightly. "Does that mean mommy is gonna love Neil more than me...?"
Vanessa shrugged. "I don't think so, but..."
Rex frowned and teared up. "But...then...will she send me away again?!"
Rex pulled away and then teleported away, teleporting into Ginger's room and hugging her tightly. "MOMMY!"
He began crying. Ginger jumped and then hugged back, hugging him closely.
"Rex, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Ginger asked, concerned.
"I went to see grandma because I miss her and she wasn't really mean this time but she asked if Neil might make me jealous and now I'm worried you'll love Neil more than me and send me away again!" Rex cried.
"Rex..." Ginger teared up, hating the fact that her mistake had left insecurity in Rex's mind about her love. "I would never send you away... I made a stupid mistake and I was a meaniepants... And I'm sorry... But I love you and a day never passed when you were gone that I didn't regret my choice... I will love you and Neil exactly the same, Rex... I promise. You'll always be my little boy and I love you so, so, so, so, so, so, SO much... Never forget that."
Rex sniffed and snuggled closer to his mom. "Okay mommy... I love you too... Can I stay with you tonight?"
Ginger smiled. "Of course. Goodnight, Rex."
"Night mommy..." Rex said, calmed down mainly now, and quickly fell asleep.
Ginger smiled and also fell asleep.
