OCs 2 - the Sequel

Isolation

Ginger became thinner and the bags under her eyes got darker. Trey was grounded for a month for getting an A-, so now she was alone. She didn't know Nina had woken up. She hadn't visited since because she didn't want to be a burden.

Kari started crying and Ginger got up, sighing. She dragged her feet as she walked into their room. She picked her up and started changing her diaper. She then rocked Kari for a while then put her in bed. Rex was playing with toys happily in his crib. She smiled and watched for a while...

Ding dong...

Ginger walked downstairs and opened the door. Her eyes widened as she saw Ray.
"Um... I... I'll help you with the twins?" he offered, not meeting her gaze.
Ginger started to object but then Rex started crying. Ginger just sighed and walked upstairs with Ray following.

Ginger smelled another diaper needed to be changed and sighed. Ray walked over and picked Rex up gently, starting to change the diaper. Ginger's eyes widened and she smiled. He finished then put him back in his crib.

Ray grinned over at her as he washed his hands. "See? I'm not so bad, right?"
Ginger just smiled and sat down in the rocking chair. "Maybe not."
Ray picked her up and walked downstairs, setting her on the couch. "I'm so sorry you've had to do all of this alone... I know you hate me and I was a jerk and...yeah... Please...marry me again? I promise I-"
Ginger held up a hand to stop him. "Ray... I can't go back... I... I'll try to forgive you... And you can come over... But no... I... I can't marry you again. Not now."
Ray sighed, sitting beside her and pulling her into a hug, and pouted. "But Gingeeerrr..."
Ginger giggled. "Stop..."
Ray kissed her cheek then let go, standing and walking out. Ginger frowned but then he returned with her favorite takeout. Ginger smiled and he gave it to her. The ex-couple began eating together and if they cried, Ray handled it for a while.

Maybe...he wasn't so bad...

But she didn't want to marry him again and be stuck with him. But she'd definitely let him help with the twins... Sometimes they seemed to like him better than her anyways...
