Vincent's Tragedy

"Vincent!" his mother called.
Vincent huffed. "This conversation isn't over."
He walked upstairs to see what she needed, somewhat annoyed, but when he walked into his parents room and saw his father, who had been sick but carried on ruling in spite of it, now lying still. His mother was crying and hugging him. He dismissed the servant holding the umbrella, unable to take his eyes from the scene. Suddenly, the cloud over his head disappeared. He finally managed to move after a few minutes and fell to his knees beside his mother, putting a hand on her shoulder in reassurance as he stared at his father's face with a mix of emotions. This changed everything...
