OCs 2 - the Sequel

Jacob's Turmoil

Jacob yawned and fell asleep. Aspen was working late, so he was alone. The kids were already asleep. He drifted deep into his mind...slightly too deep.

A tall figure stood over him...Landon. Jacob turned and ran the other way. Rylee stood across from him, seemingly holding him off. But with a flick of Landon's wrist, Rylee was cast aside by Calvin. Jacob's eyes widened in horror and then he ran to the left. He panted, running as fast as he could. Memories of Landon's experiments flashed through his head and he tripped, falling down a large hole that seemingly never ended.
"You're too dangerous... The world would be better without you as a part of it!"
Jacob tried frantically to grab something...someone...ANYTHING!
"ASPEN! RYLEE!" Jacob yelled desperately.
"They can't hear you... You are a menace, a monster... You need to be stopped. You are not fit to have a family. And you will be stopped."
Jacob's eyes widened and then he slowly closed his eyes in defeat.
"DON'T LISTEN TO HIM!" a girl yelled. "Leave him be, Ender!"
"Get out of here, Valentina. You saved him once, it's my turn," Ender replied. "Besides, you're weak. You gave away your rybrospon... Pathetic!"
Jacob was quiet as he listened, still falling.
"Ender, I don't need to be strong. I have her on my side."
"SO YOU THINK!"
From the arguing, Jacob snapped out of it. "Can you two not argue in my mind?!"
"Quiet!" Ender yelled. "Give me a moment."
"Ender, leave him alone," Valentina said lowly.
"You don't scare me, little sister," Ender growled.
"He...said...GET OUT!" Rylee screamed.
Ender, Valentina, and Jacob yelled. Suddenly, Jacob's feet touched the ground and everything went white.

Jacob suddenly sat up, panting heavily and eyes wide. "I...I...wow..."
He closed his eyes for a moment and told Rylee a quick thank you. He just got the thought of a tired smile in return before her presence faded. Jacob wondered... Who was 'she'? Rylee? Wait... He thought back to his interrogation with the Director and remembered... Valentina was the one who saved him... And Julia knew her! But... Who was her brother, Ender? He groaned and laid back down. Maybe he'd think about it another time...
