Val's Walk

Valentina was strolling down the sidewalk, enjoying the fresh, crisp air and the breeze. The bright, glowing blue sky with the fluffy whi- wait... That's how the story normally goes, but not today... The clouds were now grey...
A storm.
Valentina shrugged and kept walking. She really needed to stretch her legs. Suddenly, lightning struck at her. She then knew she wasn't the only one who was free...
Val absorbed it then shot it back twice as hard. The clouds cleared and the light brightened slightly and Val continued her walk, unphased. Val, having of given most of her powers mainly or completely given away to people by the cube, was very skilled at absorbance. If someone used a power on her or were nearby, she could replicate/absorb it then either use it or save it. That was pretty much the best she had now, but she used it well.

Her brother really tried to destroy her? Honestly... Val rolled her eyes and continued her walk. He'd have to do much better than that...
