Casey woke up to find herself restained on a cot. A machine worked steadily above her, scanning her. They were truly trying to replicate her unique mind... She squirmed in vain, though she still struggled regardless of the effectiveness.
"Let me ou-" she protested before having some chemical used on her to quiet the young genius. James smirked as the results started coming in... This was too easy.

In the other room, Rylee was restrained beside Rebecca, Whitney, and Jamie.
"Rylee," Whitney greeted. "What a pleasant surprise. It's good to see you here. Say... Why haven't you used your ability on the guards?"
"My abilities don't exactly work for combat..." Rylee raised an eyebrow. "Unless you mean my rusty evasion?"
"No no no..." Jamie chuckled. "She doesn't know, Whitney."
Whitney smiled in amusement. "People with powers all have one special ability. One power? Then an extra strong type. Two different abilities? One is enhanced or the other is enhanced. Or...in some cases, a combination of the two powes is enhanced. I don't know what yours could be. But if you concentrate and really want to save your sister... It will come naturally."
"You got this, Rylee! Save Casey!" Becca cheered.
"I never knew... I wonder if Charles knew..." Rylee thought aloud.
"Oh, the youngsters don't get to have all the secrets," Whitney joked, a smile appearing on her slightly wrinkled face.
Rylee smiled. "I guess not..."
"Although... No time for chatter, kiddo. Focus," Jamie advised.
Rylee nodded and closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. "Okay..."
"Think of the moment you used your powers for the first time... Think of the people you've healed and the life you saved... Think of the thrill of mind reading. Think of how you can't let Casey fall. Think of your time with her... Think of how you care for her. They're in there, hurting and scanning her like a lab rat. Don't stand for it, Ryles. Because you are the hero this time. You're our only hope. Now don't hold back!" Rebecca encouraged.
Rylee took a deep breath and began to glow slightly like when she healed someone majorly. Except...was she healing herself?
Rylee's eyes snapped open and she pulled her wrists free with ease. How, exactly? That's still uncertain. Rylee extended a hand and overhealed the healthy bunch of her fellow captives. They too easily pulled their wrists free. In peak condition, they easily strode out of the cell. The guard stared for a moment then tried to attack. Rylee dodged immediately and then kicked the person into the wall. Rebecca then punched him and he fell unconscious. Her eyes widened at her enhanced strength and she glanced at Rylee who looked unphased and continued walking. All Whitney and Jamie could do was smile and follow. She learned well...

James wouldn't be able to stop her this time. This time... Rylee was a threat.
