Julia was early for work, per usual, when the office phone rang.
She answered. "Hello, this is Prince Industries. Can I help you?"
"Julia...get Steven over here now! There was some kind of alien crash and they're not sure what to do. We need a organization or something to come claim them and take them under their wing. If there's one alien, there's bound to be more and if we-" Nate rambled.
"Whoa whoa whoa... Calm down, Nate. I'm on the way," Julia stood and put on her jacket.
Nate was silent. "You? Can't Steven-?"
Julia grabbed her keys and began walking out. "Steven's probably still sleeping, honestly. I can handle it."
Nate was skeptic, but nodded, even though she couldn't see him. "Alright... I'll text you the addre-"
"I saw it," Julia reminded him, getting into his car. "Probably everyone in the city saw it. I think I can find it."
"Alright... When you get here, make sure you say I called for you or they'll stop you."
Julia nodded. "Got it. See you soon."
She hung up and then drove off towards the crash. When she got past the security and everything, she walked over to Nate, who sighed in relief.
"You made good time..." Nate stated.
"Thanks. Okay, what's going on?" Julia asked.
"Okay, so, the director of the FBI is over there, and the governor is here too... Maybe a senator too? And a bunch of FBI agents. So don't do anything stupid. Good luck."
He patted her shoulder then pulled her over. The governor and the director turned to face her, raising an eyebrow at Nate.
"This is no time for dating, Nathaniel," the director rolled his eyes.
Julia pulled her arm away. "I'm not dating him."
"Definitely not. She's way out of my league," Nate agreed.
(A/N: XDDDD)
Julia shook her head then continued. "I'm Steven Prince's assistant, from Prince Industries... I was told you weren't exactly sure what to do with the alien."
"That's true... We actually weren't," the governor agreed.
"I say we put the thing in one of those isolation tubes you guys have so it doesn't hurt anyone," the senator stated boldly.
Julia crossed her arms. "Have you tried communication?"
"We have, but no results," the director explained.
Julia frowned and thought for a moment. "May I?"
"A pretty girl likes you wants to speak to an alien?!" the senator questioned, eyes widening.
"I'm not afraid of him or her. There's no reason to be," Julia glanced at him especially when she said that.
The director chuckled and walked off. "Follow me, Miss Sanders."
Julia, the governor, and Nate followed. Nate decided he'd keep an eye on Julia to keep her safe... If he didn't and something happened, Steven would hurt him. The senator sighed and reluctantly hurried after them.
"Be careful, Julia," the director warned. "We aren't sure about this alien..."
Julia looked and saw a human resembling girl, except blue. She was dressed in what seemed like flats, black shorts, and a short sleeved t-shirt. Julia noticed a small shiver. The girl seemed to be young, how young she wasn't sure... But at least younger than herself.
Julia took off her coat and approached slowly. The girl's ocean blue eyes traced her every movement with fright.
"Are you cold?" Julia asked, offering her the jacket.
The girl stared at her for several seconds before nodding and gently taking it, putting the coat that was too big for her on. The girl became a human looking color after a few moments. Julia thought for a moment then slowly sat beside her. "Where are you from?"
"I...don't remember..." the girl spoke with a bit of fear. "But...I'm not...an alien... I have powers though..."
Julia frowned. "Were you on a plane?"
The blonde little girl nodded, looking up at her. "They took me and were transporting me somewhere... It hurt... And then the plane crashed..."
Julia frowned, pulling the little girl on her lap. "Awww... I'm so sorry..."
She just hugged Julia, still shivering slightly. The director raised an eyebrow, walking in.
"So she's human?"
The little girl jumped and clung to Julia.
"It was a plane crash... Someone was taking her somewhere," Julia stated, standing and holding the little girl. "All she has is powers. And I believe that falls into my department. Have a good day."
She turned and walked out, past the governor, director, and senator, and left.
Nate blinked a few times. "Wow... I never knew Julia could be so savage..."
"She's perfect to have working at the company," the director smiled. "Not even in charge and she still shows authority... I like it."
He turned and walked out as well, everyone else following. Julia set the little girl in the car and buckled her up before driving off to a store to get her some warmer clothes and some things to play with while she hung out at the office with her. Julia blew a lot of cash that day for the mysterious little girl...
