Julia and Fred had seen each other sometimes when they were growing up, but this time was different. It had been a while since they had seen each other. They were young before - preteens. Fred had glasses and Julia had braces. Yet this time...
A.J. walked in the room, but the girl following him was the one who caught the attention. She was 5'9", 16, and her hair was straightened perfectly, flowing down her back. The blue dress she wore brought out her eyes even more than they already sparkled combined with her smile. She sat down beside her father. Fred was still staring, not looking very similar himself. He had really grown up. Julia smiled over at him.
"Sorry to be late... You know how teenage girls are," A.J. apologized.
Julia laughed. "Sorry, dad."
"I think being late was worth it..." Fred chimed in, still unable to stop staring.
Julia looked over at him and blushed, looking down. "Thank you..."
A.J. smiled over at Fred's father and they exchanged a happy look. Fred was glad this was the girl his father insisted he dated and one day married.
Fred abruptly stood and walked over, offering her a hand. "Would you...um...like to dance, Julia?"
Julia glanced over at her father and A.J. nodded.
Julia smiled and took his hand, standing. "I'd love to."
Fred grinned and led her off, ignoring the envious stares/glares other guys were sending. "You look stunning."
Julia beamed. "Thank you! You look handsome yourself... It's been so long since I've seen you."
They stopped and then began dancing.
"Too long," Fred agreed. "I missed you."
Julia smiled. "I missed you too, Freddy."
Fred smiled back. "I should've known the next time I saw you, you'd be a showstopper."
Julia laughed. "Thanks... I had a few modeling contracts come my way, but I've got my mind set on business. After all, I am dad's only heir."
"You intend to be a CEO?" Fred asked, surprised. "Usually that's a man's-"
Julia gave him a look, cutting him off.
Fred smiled sheepishly. "Nevermind... If anyone could do it, you can."
"That's better," she nodded.
"Alright, and what do you intend to do in other aspects of your life romantically?" Fred asked.
"I haven't even been kissed before," Julia admitted, blushing. "The guys in my school are all morons..."
"Fair enough," Fred nodded. "Perhaps I can change that someday."
Julia blushed more, but smiled. "Perhaps you can."The night went on and a few days after, they began to hang out. Not too long after that, they began dating.
