Brooke almost felt like she should be...embarrassed or ashamed to be different after that night. Even Ryland didn't think people were ready for powers. Was she embarrassing to him...?

People didn't want different. They wanted copy and paste. But Brooke was so much deeper than a hyperactive teenager who liked to run. She felt like she was wearing a mask to appease everyone...

When would the world 'be ready?' How was that fair? She had to mask her true self just because there might be a few small minds...

She felt self conscious of herself and began to try to blend in more. She stopped eating as much, which gave her less energy. She refused to use her powers for a while...

Rylee was worried about her friend. Brooke had taken the correction and backlash very close to heart...

Rylee had enough of her friend making herself miserable to appease people. She was tired of appeasing people herself.

So together with Rachel and Jacob, she made a live video, talking about and showing powers. She explained how it wasn't that odd and how it made them have unique abilities. She left it posted for a few minutes after they posted it before the government took it down. By that point, it was saved by people and reposted. They went viral.

Brooke happened to see the video, lying in bed moodily when she saw her friends reveal the biggest secret. Brooke teared up and stood, taking a deep breath before speeding downstairs and eating a bag of chips before speeding outside.

Brooke sped over to Rylee's house and hugged them, feeling free again.
"We can cover this up, make it be special effects again," Eric concluded, talking with Derrick.

Eric paused for a moment, pondering their words.
