OCs 2 - the Sequel

A Sad Space Pirate Story (cuz I can)

The parents were on the way home to Rybrospo with their little baby. Only 2 weeks old, the baby needed to get back to the Prime or a master quickly. The baby was incredibly weak because it hadn't been blessed with rybrospon. Neither had the parents, so it was lucky they even survived to have the baby. The parents' parents had been from Rybrospo, but the parents of the baby had never seen their home.
The parents had siblings at one time, but most had died. The mother was an only child because the lack of rybrospon in their heart and head, and the father only had one brother left.

The ship suddenly came under attack by a group of pirates. The father ran to the blasters, shooting at the ship, while the mother tried to calm the crying baby, holding it close. They were so close... The baby was sick as it was, so this was very bad.

"Surrender your loot, Imperials!" a pirate shouted over the intercom.
The mother hurried to answer, "We are Rybrospos returning home! There's nothing of value here! There's a baby on board... Please..."
Suddenly, the engines powered down and they attached the ships.
"Send the baby down to the surface, quickly! They can't shoot while we're docked!" the father yelled. "Go with her, I'll be there soon!"
The mother teared up, but nodded and ran to the eacape pod. She put the baby in the alien equivalent of a carseat and strapped her in the escape pod securely. The mother set the planet destination as they came on board. The baby began crying again, which broke the mother's heart.

She heard a scream from her husband and she knew he lost his life. She heard footsteps approach rapidly... There wasn't time for her baby to escape unless she stalled them.
"Goodbye, my love..." the mother said with tears in her eyes, sending the pod off from the inside.
She then turned and began fighting with everything she had, stalling them while the pod escaped.

The baby escaped, but the parents were both seriously injured and when the pirates realized they attacked innocent people, they destroyed them along with the ship to destroy the evidence, flying away.

The baby headed to Rybrospo, sick and weak. Teresa knew the baby was coming, and quickly got the baby when she arrived, taking her to the Prime. After the baby was helped, it was put in an orphanage... The council questioned if she should be in there at all, but Teresa knew her parents were gone. But Teresa had a feeling the first orphan since the return of Rybrospo wouldn't stay one for long...
